Ok so I had so much to read I forgot what it all was, but since I am mostly the subject of the discussion I will throw in my two cents worth. The only critsism I found offensive was Ren's truth be told, and a less determined person may have been offended and possible even leave. But for good or bad im not that sorta person, I think it mostly comes from being Aussie, cause I noticed stubborness is a trait learned at an early age and necessary to survive.
Also I did ask for feedback I think when I first told everyone that geco had asked me not to post in skysail, I copied the whole conversation for future reference if you wanted to view it. And yeah I think I said every thing I wanted to if not I will edit. Im tired now some how this post took a lot of effort. Wait there's more I remember what I was gonna say, I thank everyone for their critism, yes even Ren.

Fair enough. I think I've probably talked about it enough that I could fall either way at this point, and it's not a big deal, but like I said, I was having fun discussing something with high level rationale.

I attribute this line of thought to Alex, otherwise known as Trelyon. He blacklisted me from every thread, and bullied me endlessly until he was leaving. That was a period of at least a year, and i think it ended up being about two.
I noticed a similar disposition in you, Zed, as to myself. That is, stubborn. Wanting to rise above the criticism. It was a chance I was willing to take, as I had nothing to lose. I will say this though, i honestly wasn't sure if you were up to it yet. And though I liked you, I also honestly felt you were not up to the task.
I stand proven wrong, you are. And your last post shows it. Put as much effort into posts as you did to that, and you will grow and blossom like deserts in spring. Just hope you don't die as fast as they do. :)
Back to Trelyon... Just before he left, he emailed me, telling me that he expected me to fill his shoes. He knew I could do it, he had faith in my abilities as a teacher (ironically enough), and also that I was a good writer.
that made me feel absolutely fantastic. I used to have the email, but I think i've lost it. I also have lost in my various computer hard disk crashes that first post of mine that I would use as a mile marker and remembrance. Where i used to be and how far I've come.
I suggest you keep your first post, paste it to your fridge, next to your computer, wherever, and use it as a reminder every single time to go exactly 180 degrees in the opposite direction as i had with my very own for several years.

I'm glad you're staying. I'm glad I was right (pleasantly surprised too). You're a genuinely straight up guy.

Nujabes. Fat Jon. Bjork. Mostly stuff that I don't feel like I need to have blasting in my ears. Lately, eastern Asian stuff. No lyrics, but just a shakuhachi, or dulcimer or whatever that banjo looking japanese instrument is called.

So your in New Zealand now? Maybe you should come visit me Its only a three-four hour flight from here to north island of NZ lol
not yet. will be in late december. will be staying there for a year.
We are starting our trip in 2 weeks. We'll be landing in china at Beijing, staying in china for about 3 weeks, doing beijing, Xian, guilin, hong kong, macau, anywhere else we can think of. Crossing the border to Vietnam and going down the coast; most notably we are going to Ha Long bay. Cambodia next, to see Angkor Wat. After that, probably Singapore (don't forget, if you are a gum chewer, that it is a cane-able offense to chew gum, no matter what nationality you are or country you come from). Then we're moving down to Darwin, then Sydney, then to Auckland.
If you're in Sydney, let me know. It might be possible.
Was the forum down for much of the day, as was the case for me? I couldn't access any Jolt forum, and saw no information pertaining to downtime. This brought to light the idea of a contingency plan... some rendezvous point for wayward RPers in case Utopia finds itself spontaneously on the cutting room floor..
