I just realized how grave this is.

Earth and NationStates both shut down by Jolt, who is not the original owner, am I right?

I dont understand what they mean by "irreversibly broken" and "impossible to maintain". Didn't these games do fine for a long time before being taken over by Jolt? What has changed? Why dont they go back to old working code? And what will happen to Utopia?

Isn't it funny that they advertise Utopia Kingdoms in the same post they announce the closing of NS? Especially because UK has a coin system, in which you pay real cash to get an advantage over other players, while neither NS, nor Utopia, nor Earth (im not sure about the last one) has that. Its an awful thing to think but maybe these games have become... unprofitable.

This may be a silly question, as I'm not expert in the working of cpu an all, but is UK having any of these same problems?

And how can you be having such a hard time with all this coding, it's not like this is their first try at this gaming ****.

And if it's too difficult to get it together, then wtf start the round, when they could've just restarted genesis on old code and kept it going till they get their act together...why the rush?

    I hope he's right.
Remember having heard something like that when OMAC was just introduced.

Utopia kingdoms, Khan wars, Tribal wars, and at least ten more games, are all run by the same team of russians, that all share a single laptop, that's still powered by a little bicycle.

As strange as it sounds, XS software - the people who run all the 'wars' - are doing a much better job than OMAC.
Their games, while boring, bland, and outright stupid, are all available during weekends, they have not seen the need to recode their functional games from scratch for no real reason, and they provide support not only to the people who have bought their clones, but to the players of the clones, as well.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.
