Race Unbalanced or Good as they are?

Please pick on of the above and let's see what the people on the forums think. Not that we are the whole community, just want to see what the talkers want.

They're good the way they are, because they're different, and actually qualify as changes for once.
No one's trusting OMAC to improve anything, and most just want them to be set in stone, so the age can be rolled out.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

I agree, great changes...I personally just feel Dwarf Artisan are way to powerful, if they just remove that we are good to go. =)

the current changes give top KD's too little possible setups... if you want a bOring age, keep the changes.

@ VT2, your last 200 posts were to make people shut up about the unbalanced changes, you made your point, now shut up.

    No.
I'll shut up when they shut up, or the changes are set in stone.

Until then, I'm going to keep hammering my point home, to ensure we're given a fun and exciting age - the first of its kind in 3 years.

These polls are meaningless, everyone has found their own "overpowered" build already and so start screaming at dwarf/artisan hoping their build will be ignored. And the ones that go with dwarf/arti, well, those claim all is fine. Sad to see how much "community" is left. Look at strat talk, you don't see a thorough discussion of race/personality set-ups, only shouting matches to see who can come up the best one liners.

    Not really, no.
It wasn't a slaughter back when you could buy science, sages got it at half price, were immune to learns, and made science at a rapid rate through acres alone.

It won't be a slaughter now, either.

You people are idiots, and either weren't around in the past, or have gotten too used to OMAC's incompetence.
The game was never balanced, and each age has had at least one 'overpowered' build or combo.

Faery with all spells, orcs with super-specialist for defense, immunity to ambush through warrior, and strength-8 elite, elves casting paradise on their own kingdoms, human/sages, elves with quick feet, reduced losses all around, 6/6 elites, and quick feet, rogues being the only way to kill anything except soldiers, undead in the ancient past, avians with 5/5 armies, alternatively 4/4, in ages when everyone else had 3/3, plus some expensive elite with 5/3, or 6/2, and so on.

These changes excite me. They make me want to play the game again.
    Do you understand yet?
The game's not meant to be 'balanced,' but ever-changing, exciting, and fun.

To hell with 'balance.' We've gotten three years of 'balance.'
If I want balance, I play Guilty gear. If I want 'balance,' I play warhammer.

my point is you are singling out dwarf artisan as too strong, when there are stronger.

"my point is you are singling out dwarf artisan as too strong, when there are stronger."

    Shhhhhhh!
You're going to make them accuse everything of being overpowered.

Dwarf/art and avian needs to be nerfed, or other races need improvements. If you leave Dwarf/art and Avian alone, then the other races need improvements.

    These 3 personalities need improvements:
    Mystic
    Rogue
    Merchant

As I said before I agree with you VT2, new changes are exciting but just afraid that all will run the same, that would be a bit boring.

But most important is that the race changes would have been definite. They made a changes discussion thread which means things can be changed. If they just say these are the changes then we can all shut up and get to work =)
