When to train your troops

How long is the base time for troops training and how long with IA?

It's been a while since I played last, but I did at least remember to not train 1000 elites on day 2.

For those who don't know, you don't want to train troops before it is necessary because they cost upkeep, and you can't be attacked yet anyways so it is unnecessary.

Base is 24h. IA is -20%. Tactician is -30%. War is -25% (when in full effect).

OOW:
Base: 24 -> 24
AI: 24*.8 = 19.2 -> 19
Tact: 24*.7 = 16.8 -> 17
AI + Tact: 24*.8*.7 = 13.44 -> 13

War:
Base: 24*.75 = 18 -> 18
AI: 24*.75*.8 = 14.4 -> 14
Tact: 24*.75*.7 = 12.6 -> 13
AI + Tact: 24*.75*.8*.7 = 10.08 -> 10

Double Build rounding:
OOW AI and OOW AI+Tact round badly (longer). OOW Tact and War Tact round nicely (shorter). Not that anyone should use double build...

This is all unconfirmed, and in some cases simply off the top of my head. Someone else please confirm, both the multipliers, and the rounding.

I don't usually come into these strategy forums as I find little use in giving away the strategy secrets that has made Absalom what it is now, but I am willing to impart a little maxim that is ingrained in each and every one of us at the elite Absalom academy.

Train early, Train often.

That is basically a step one strategy concept. Once you arrive at step two you delve deeper into the strategy and it turns into Train as much as you can as soon as you can.
