I'd just like to point out how we're into 400 posts in Skysail. Each has been cataloged in a series of Google Documents, and those who wish to see the archive can send me their e-mail for access.

I, and I'm sure everyone, really appreciates you doing that for us Phoenix ^_^
And yes! I saw that the other day. My baby is all grown up... although still a ways to go before the 1 year anniversary, we should hit 500 before then!
It's good to see a thread make it so far!!! Since Jolt took over the forums, 200+ posts seemed a mountain of a number...
Oh and Phoenix, my email is bmkermodi@gmail.com, I'd love to get access to those archives...
Yeah, I'm happy to see the thread thriving! I agree Geco - I think we have plenty of time to supersede 500 posts before the year one anniversary.
Darlok, I sent an invite your way, so you should have access to the archive.
Thanks, Got access. Very good job organizing by the way.
edit: It's funny. I originally typed "btw" for by the way and it just felt weird. Is this forum too classy for "msn" type speak, or is it just me?
nah, wtf u men d00d? lol wer 2 1337 4 norm41 tlk. btw is gr8.
Urgh, haven't been able to keep up with the boards this week. Hopefully this weekend will bring some breathing room. I'll post for Gabe and move that group along if no one else has. SoHee, unfortunately I still don't have any good ideas of how to move us fwd... mostly because you locked all the doors ^_^ I suppose bashing is always an option.
Not one post in 2 weeks here? This is just disgraceful! ;)
I just posted a few days ago...
"I am the brightest light, for I am darkness. I know everything, for I know nothing. I am a container, brimming with emotion, for I am empty."
--Bebedora, Arc the Lad
"Intelligence is the key, and she is locked out." - Josh Sneed, in reference to his ex.
I wanted to send out a quick apology if anyone felt I prp'd their characters a little too much. If you'd rather it be changed, please just let me know. EDIT: WF - sorry, it's a comfort level I've formed with most the other people here now, and I do it mostly to keep things moving... but I promise I shall try not to overstep anymore ^_^
I also meant to post this in the thread, but forgot, so am doing so here. Phoenix has been running this quest, but has left it up to us how we defeat Ptolemy. So don't feel like you'll be ruining his plans if you suggest anything. From my end, I've put forth that it might be the sword. This does not necessarily have to be true. I also have another potential semi-solution using Sephara and her powers lined up. But like I say, it's up to us, nothing is written in stone.
I'm going to make sure Sephara's power is used though, because it will bring in a quick detour for once we leave to the lands of the Emiru (although I'm really hating that name now so I might just change it). Afterwards, we'll be off to Caildonia - the capitol city of the empire. Once there I was thinking of employing a more traditional DM style whereby we'll all be free to pursue any side stories with our characters, but the main story will be a bit of a puzzle that the players will have to solve. In this format I will become the DM for a time playing NPCs that you interact with. You, like a D&D game or any computer rpg will have to figure out the next steps that will ultimately unlock the next destination. Obviously, this will take some effort on my part, but I am willing to commit to it if I know you guys want to try it out, so, this is why I am asking.
Would you like to try something like this? You do not have to participate fully, there may be times where only a few of the characters are actively pursuing it, but I thought it would be a fun way to shake things up a bit. To execute this, it's going to require smaller, quicker posts. Ideally, I'd like to set a 2-3 week time period at most from beginning to end where people pursuing the main plot line and myself with commit to being more active, but writing much shorter amounts than we usually would to keep things progressing at a good pace.
So, by show of hands, who's interested. We'll do simple majority rules. If more than 50%, I'll start working out the details asap, otherwise it'll be business as usual.
Eligible voters (in case you don't know who you are) = Phoenix, Rensha, SoHee, Shari, Carrot, Wildfire, & Drice
I think that's everything.

actually that makes me think suddenly, since you posted about perhaps randomly setting a "DM Handicap" if you will. :) At random (from our perspective, but not DM's) points the DM shall instill a given character with intimate DMing as per Geco's instructions above. If you don't understand what I mean then i'll try to use different words: A constant effort of the DM to use only characters specific to the main communal plot (not subplots - or private plots, as it were) in such a way as above outlined. Thus, not all characters would be subject to such close DMing. For instance Arlen might be under the scrutiny of DM's plans, while amateira or garin might not, and they can be played freely as per usual, while arlen is taken step by step in a certain direction.
I move for that being a permanent arrangement, and subject to PRP by current DM (whomever that might be).
Why didn't you just put this in Wave >.<

I'm obviously not that skilled & that is why we have an OOC thread here still ^_^ and does that /vote mean you are voting for trying this out?
REN - could be, be I'll be honest in saying it's probably too much effort to keep up on a consistent basis. From how I've read it, the best bet to do something like that would still be to talk offline with the other player and arrangement what you want to accomplish or write a post together, but I may have missed your idea completely, it seemed abstract.
