    Age 49 Suggestions

    Hi all - as is traditional we have created this thread in Utopia Talk so that the players can submit suggestions for next age changes. To give you guys some idea of what items the developers would like to look at they have asked us to provide ideas and feedback in these key areas:

    New spells.
    New ops.
    New attacks.
    Kingdom Stance tweaks
    And, of course, the usual race balancing number tweaks.

    New Spell:

    Detect Magic: Costs 1% mana and gives the list of all the overland enchantments on a province.

    Op tweak:

    Sabotage Wizards & Expose Thieves: Give the actual amount the stealth/mana was reduced by in the op's result page.

    Attack tweak:

    Merge TM and Conquests together and if a TM doesn't break the target, consider it a conquest instead.

    No longer allow any offensive ops (intel is fine) at all to outside kingdoms (or from other kds into war) while your kd is in war. The -75% rule can return in the post war CF.

    Add an op or spell that reveals the number of wizards a province has, similar to infiltrate thieves guild.

    Make shepherd personality require no food at all (even at 0 food they won't starve, similar to Undead).

    Some sort of spell that reveals how much GC is left in the dragon/the dragons HP. Maybe make this spell only available on the opposing kds monarch, or if the kd has no monarch, anyone. Make it a difficult spell costing a huge amount of runes, as this information can be vital.

    Allow the Page to edit the monarch message/change kds name/kds banner

    This is a little out there, but wanted to see if anyone likes it:

    Elf/Avian/any other race which you think needs a boost
    * Can change personality once every 2 Utopian years. This can be adjusted if you think once per 2 Utopian years is overpowered.

    Makes the race more flexible, and requires the player to put in some strategic thought.

    Regarding suggestions posted above, I like the idea of showing how much stealth/mana the enemy lost during ET/SW. I think the Shepherd personality is very powerful as it is, removing the food requirement completely will make it OP, in my opinion.

    KD-news : When someone a has an failed attacked show as a broken shield (failed on your KD) or a broken sword (failed attack of one of you kdmembers/you).

    Definately a way to find out how many wizzies a prov has and what spells are active over the province and for how long. This could either be combined with the infiltrate op, as a seperate op or as a spell, ie arcane examination...

    I'm sure there will be more...

    a) a random attack of Godzilla on a random island in a random week of the game. all kingdoms on the island need to send troops to dispose of him :) and/or kingkong, aliens and bunny attacks

    b) (and prolly more sensible suggestion) make sending wizzies an aid option

    edit: only mystics can aid them out perhaps - that way they can't get passed around the kingdom for each op.

    b) (and prolly more sensible suggestion) make sending wizzies an aid option or may be make guilds train quicker, in line with thief training....thus making mages actually useful oop...

    This thread derailed quickly. It's already full of self serving, "make utopia easy for me" suggestions. Not even gonna bother reading it anymore.

    Snatch news: change so you easier can see the kd attacking and being attacked, should look like you look in your own paper with icons.

    Dragons: would be nice with a change been same for ages and still ruby dragon is used 90% of the time. Maybe make them cheaper and easier to kill

    Ruby
    Reduces military effectiveness by 8%


    Emerald
    20% Higher military losses in combat and 15% lower attack gains


    Sapphire

    30% Failure of magic & thievery ops

    Gold
    Reduce building efficiency by 20%
    Random destruction of buildings

    definitely NO to merging TM and conquest.

    I think that MS should be nerfed. The gains and duration are too high, the amount of troops lost for the cost of the spell are ridiculous.A good solution would be lowering troop casualties for MS and moving the peasant losses from MS to riots because thievery doesnt have the long lasting and effective ops that sorcery does.

    Spell don't consume runes for mystic personality (any races)
    That "Detect Magic" is a great idea.. :D
    Mystic Vortex can choose what spell(s) that want to be negating (up to 3-4 spells per cast and this can be done if you cast that "Detect Magic" first)

    Changes of this age that affected some of the playing style:
    - Gnome, which was supposed to be a thievery race has +15% to spell effectiveness.
    - DE, which was supposed to be a Mystic race loses 30% spell potency and gained +15% thievery effectiveness. When stack (or somehow in someway multiply up) with invisibility spell, DE is a quite a Thievery race than Mystic race.

    New spells:
    Some spells that can counter thievery. Shadow Light and Exposed Thieves is not enough to deter thievery. Perhaps tweaking Fireball to affect Thieves as well?

    New ops.
    There is more than enough ops and the power of thievery is imba currently

    New attacks.
    I would suggest an attack to kill wizards, an attack to kill thieves.

    Kingdom Stance tweaks
    It is as good as it can get currently.

    And, of course, the usual race balancing number tweaks.
    It would be nice to swap Gnome's Mystic bonus and DE' thievery bonus around. Give Gnome Invisibility spell and give DE Chastity spell. This would nicely restore Gnome's Thievery position and DE's Mystic position.

    Orc is a weaker attacker race than Human. Orc is supposed to be the most feared pure attacker race. But instead, any Shepherd pers province will just retal any Orc's attack with pleasure. I would suggest giving Orc 10/1 leet strength instead to make up for it's weak Dspecs.

    few things.

    all intel ops 1 stealth and drop it down to 10 or 15% sent for intel... getting intel is still a little over the top..

    dragons need a little revamping maybe add differnt % bonuses to each different dragon... instead of flat rate income and drafting decreases..

    adding a op to see current spells and current wizard counts would be great... u can see thief's why not wizards?

    avian needs a little boost maybe just give -30% attack times make them for hyper active players...

    humans, orcs, de's, seemed balanced this age none overpowered maybe give elfs a little boost on economy side.. we had a few in the kingdom only thing we seen was really hard to train up with elf's..


    maybe a fun thing to bring back we are 5/5 war record and it says Current kingdom is xXxX bla bla used to have where it changed from current to esteemed kingdom and other various sayings based on war wins.. and war... thought that was neat more a vanity thing but none the less people seemed to enjoy it:)
