War broke out between the kingdoms of Fury of Absalom and Melee Weapons after a lengthy hostile period.
Fury began the hostile with a dragon + 3 massacres each on two faeries of Melee Weapons. The provs of MW had to convert 20-50% of their buildings for war and most of the Undeads had terrible defense at the time, so MW decided that they would drag out the hostile to get themselves in better shape for war. MW responded with some massacres of their own along with some raze bounces on the cow province of Fury, by their large undead.
After 24 hours Fury then switched to a mixture of trad marches on the undead of MW and massacred the halfers. MW countered with trad marches of their own and continued to raze bounce the cow with spare offense. As the hostile continued, the ops from Furys faeries were ripping through the undeads of MW badly, so MW shifted focus again on to more massacres.
The hostile period was very rough for MW as Fury took 10k acres and MW lost another 3k to randoms combined with the fact they were out-massacred as well. Fury started with a 3m nw advantage, but it had grown to 4.4m. According to MW, it would've been lame to try and get a CF after a 4 day hostile plus they still had a punchers chance in the war, so they decided to press the button.
March 20 of YR12 We have declared WAR on Hostile Warriors!
MW declared and launched an emerald dragon then chained down 2 of Fury's Avians. The dragon lasted about 5 hours before Fury killed it. By then MW had started on a 3rd chain, but Fury switched monarchy and MW ended up bouncing their first 2 hits on him. The subsequent waves were to chain another set of Avians. The chains we're becoming less and less effective due to the large amounts of incoming land each potential chain was bringing. Both kingdoms had similar amounts of offense, but Fury had a lot more defense, so for every double tap MW did, Fury tripled. For every triple MW did, Fury had a quad tap.
It was around hour 36 of the war MW decided to switch to more of a max gain tactic and target Fury's mid-sized provs while allow some of their bigger provs to grow out range of good gains. At the same time, Fury began to chain some of the strongest halfers of MW, who kept enough defense to only be hit with single taps. This enabled MW to take a nice lead in the acre gains in war and were hoping that it might give Fury a scare and question how winnable the war was. Another 48 hours went by and MW were running out of easy targets, their acre gains had reached its peak and Fury hadn't withdrawn, so MW decided to throw in the towel.
