UF NEWS: ArchAngels war Spartans Rebirth

Spartans Rebirth had been looking for a war for two weeks prior to finding Archangels(AA) as they had noticed that their KD name had message for war in it. Spartans chose to go with massacres, ArchAngels opted to do the same. AA felt that this removed the two targets they hit with massacres from the war as they received very few MS and Riots over the course of the war.

War declared on Spartans Rebirth:

Once war was declared AA used gold dragons and riots to control the economies of the orcs in Spartans. This was effective throughout the war as most of the BEs were reduced to 60-65% throughout. AA combined with using ambushes while also trying to catch orcs with armies home, which also worked quite well throughout the war as they were more active and better set up to do this. Spartans had planned to use chains but recognised that this wasn't working so they changed their focus to gains. By the end of the first day they also realised that they had bitten off more than they could handle as AA had much stronger economies along with sending three dragons within the 48 hours of war.

AA felt that the biggest mistake by Spartans was to focus on chaining Archangel Moros. Little did they know he is one of AA's most active attackers and ran 30% Guard Stations. Spartans spent the biggest part of the first 24 hours almost solely focused on him and it produced poor results and 5-6 of their attackers ended up with plague most of that day. Moros ambushed and made huge hits dispite being cut in half NW wise and he barely dropped any offense and had almost no defense.

There were also some hilarious dragon dramas for both sides in the war. Spartans had sent a dragon and one of the players in AA sent 12000 specs instead of 1200, which killed the dragon but also wasted all his defence. It also meant that he wasted 5000 specs which were not needed in order to kill the dragon. There was a scrambling for aid, which AA were able to sort out and Spartans had failed to capitalise on.

These events seemed to pass over onto Spartans as one of their own decided to help kill the second dragon that AA had sent over. The province sent all of his off specs and def specs, 22000 troops in total in order to achieve this. Unfortunately for the province, AA were able to take advantage and dropped him 2000+ acres.

As war raged on and the fact that the halfling provinces of Spartans were not sending armies out, it meant that there was only 16 attackers hitting against 24 attackers of AA. This fact meant that the tide was strongly in the favour of AA and it only continued to go in their favour. AA were expecting a much stiffer challenge from Spartans but concluded that the holiday period must have had an impact on their activity.

After roughly thirty hours of war AA switched to max gains as they were expecting Spartans to WD, which they did at min time.

July 10 of YR8 Unable to achieve victory, our Kingdom has withdrawn from war with Archangels War. Our failed war has finally ended!

My KD this age has tried very well to do better and I couldnt ask to play with any better people. I love these guys and gals Archangels dont strive to be a top KD but do our best and have fun. Many of us did the wake up calls and IRC but nowadays we like to kick back and enjoy this awesome and underplayed game. We do have a chatroom that we have fun in and get together in during wars. The war was truly one to remember purely because of the Dragon killings. Silly fun

Nice report! We all were massively inactive during that war and kind of aimless of what we would have to do.

The guy who killed the Dragon with 22K specs was me. When the dragon was sent I immediatly sent out 4K of my specs, and makeing a forum thread to get it killed. When I got online again after 8-9 hours the dragon was still on like 60K points... so I was like, **** it let's kill the bastard if the team doesn't do it. I had no idea you guys would send another one so quickly. I used the rest of my specs on the second dragon.

Don't know about the war report, but before hostilities broke out I was on 2400 and I ended on 1150, so I don't think I lost 2K acres in total. I still retained 14K of my elites though

We had been looking for war for so long, and then our Monarch asked you guys for one. You did a good job gathering our intel whilst we were asleep waiting for another DECLINE like we had had so many for the past 2 weeks. 2 of our Halflings were inactive (removed now) and 4-5 other players weren't really there either due to New Years. So then when you guys hit us it was completely out of the blue. We declared war just for the sake of having a war, and were simply outclassed, outmatched. There was no communication and no intel (I even had to make 2-3 blind attacks because there wasn't any information).

It was a war we all learnt from (well I hope all of us did!). Up to the next one!

It wasnt the most fought wars but the dragon killing and Urban Dictionary I figured people would get a kick out off. Id love a rematch once spartans are back up. Things just happen sometimes. Great guys though. Very Humble
