UF NEWS: War Lust HaJ Upsets Bodega of Lotus

    ** Background **

Bodega of Lotus has been an established kingdom for many ages now and was also the last kingdom to have ever defeat F r e e a k S t y l e in more than 10 ages. It has come to no surprise that when War Lust Haj, a new merger kingdom decided to war Bodega of Lotus, there was a lot of doubt on their victory but eventually, War Lust HaJ came through as the underdog and rightfully delivered an upset to Bodega of Lotus.

    ** Pre-War **

After an undisclosed downtime, the Kingdom of Bodega of Lotus who ended Modesty's streak at the End of Age last age decided to send a wave into War Lust HaJ. War Lust HaJ responded that they were not interested in war but eventually after some miscommunication between the parties, the CF deal fell through. War Lust HaJ retaliated by ambushing as many hits as possible to mitigate their losses and prepared to fight a war. Following that, War Lust HaJ and Bodega of Lotus started their Ruby Dragons respectively. Once ready, War Lust HaJ pushed the button but one of their over-eager provinces decided that he was too excited and couldn't wait to send the Ruby Dragon which ended up being sent 5 minutes before War Lust HaJ pushed the button. This resulted in an instant slaying by Bodega of Lotus' faeries and War Lust HaJ proceeded to start a Sapphire Dragon.

February 5 of YR3 Our kingdom has begun a Sapphire Dragon project targeted at Bodega of Lotus

    -----------------------------------------------
** Summary of War Actions **

The War strategy for both kingdoms was fairly straightforward. Both War Lust HaJ and Bodega of Lotus traded deep chains back and forth with their faeries raining the usual econ ops (MS, greed, Riots). Hits were traded very quickly but neither kingdom?s networth nor acres moved apart much. Bodega of Lotus sent another Ruby Dragon after their Sapphire Dragon while War Lust HaJ sent a Gold Dragon after sending a brand new Ruby Dragon. Leadership at Bodega of Lotus commented that they did not tank the Gold Dragon by choice since they had lacked the resources to slay it. With a Gold Dragon hovering over Bodega of Lotus and only a Ruby Dragon on War Lust HaJ, the economic advantage turned towards War Lust HaJ as Bodega of Lotus could not effectively build Unbreakables while War Lust HaJ started to grow into their acres. Finally after 7 days of warring, the war proceeded in War Lust HaJ's favor and Bodega of Lotus decided that they deserved the win.

February 1 of YR4 Bodega of Lotus has withdrawn from war. Our people rejoice at our victory!

    Final Comments:

Ryshad, Commander of War Lust HaJ:

"Thank you Bodega for putting my kingdom to the test early in its forming - you fought long, hard and honorably. To all the members of War Lust - great job ladies, not half bad for your second war together. I see good things in our future."

Cheez-Its, NubNarch of Bodega of Lotus:

"Congratulations to War Lust! They fought hard and really deserved the win. With their synchronized waves and blanket ops, War Lust isn't a kingdom that should be taken lightly O_O"

Full Tactical Coverage of War Lust HaJ by Ryshad^:

    Day 1

Pew Pew Laser Sharks sent out enough troops that the 8 people online at declaration could break him. He was an easy first choice since I think Halfers are easy prime targets for semi-chains do to the fact we are killing offense and defense at the same time. We spent the rest of the month sending multiple hits into higher NW provinces that were actively attacking - the more they attacked the more hits I sent into them. We were pretty much max gaining while semi chaining ... if that makes sense to you.

February 20 of YR3 A Ruby Dragon from Bodega of Lotus has begun ravaging our lands!
February 24 of YR3 Bodega of Lotus has begun a Ruby Dragon project against us!
February 24 of YR3 Avians do not need horses has slain the dragon ravaging our lands!

    Day 2

It was decided early that we would try to work on their highest NW provinces first, letting one or two of them grow fat an get filled with honor so we could easily take it back later. I think my acre goal was to set people at 400 (incoming acres included) acres, no lower. I think if you don?t take them lower than that in one hour it?s a waste of kingdom resources. Much more efficient to just take bigger acres early in war when everyone has more defense. I mean - why have to break 30k defense for 25 acres when you can break 30k defense for 120 acres? Anyways, we continued on trying to knock down top NW provinces with multiple hits (taking more acres from them then they could get back in two - three hits), then moving on to the next NW province. We took advantage of any one over sending or with few/no incoming acres but this early I don?t think that was an issue really.

March 6 of YR3 Our dragon has set flight to ravage Bodega of Lotus!
March 6 of YR3 Our kingdom has begun a Gold Dragon project targeted at Bodega of Lotus
March 15 of YR3 A Ruby Dragon from Bodega of Lotus has begun ravaging our lands! <<--- We would end up eating this one
March 15 of YR3 Bodega of Lotus has begun a Ruby Dragon project against us!
March 17 of YR3 Our kingdom has begun a Ruby Dragon project targeted at Bodega of Lotus

We spent most of this day double tapping provinces we had worked over the day before. With PF and BG on them I think their defenses suffered. Couple that with a dragon kill an MS and most provinces in both kingdoms were suffering at least a little.

    Day 3

April 12 of YR3 Our dragon has set flight to ravage Bodega of Lotus!
April 13 of YR3 Our kingdom has begun a Gold Dragon project targeted at Bodega of Lotus.

We noticed they killed our dragon so we sent our next Ruby and started a Gold. My mistake was not sending a Gold for the second dragon. I was really afraid they weren?t going to kill the second Ruby an instead just eat it, but they didn?t. They killed the Ruby later on.
Most this month and next were spent doing the same thing - Get double tapping their highest NW provinces that we could, and sending several provinces at them at once.

    Day 4

Same as before. We spent most of our effort working down their highest NW and offense provinces. No major change in war.

    Day 5

June 11 of YR3 Our dragon has set flight to ravage Bodega of Lotus!

I think it was this Gold Dragon that prevented them from making unbreakable provinces or funding their recovery. They didn?t kill this one. I don?t think they could have - if they did we would have been able to easily increase our acre spread.
Took us time to fund our Gold dragon but we finally did. I started another one but had no intention of funding it until our military was back up to par. By this time we were all low on offense and defense. Bodega had started turtling a few of their provinces. I am not sure if they were inactive or just passing out aid but after this their defenses went up and their NW started to climb (stay even with ours).
It was at this point we decided to start setting provinces at 200 acres in an attempt to get them to surrender quicker. We had been up in acres since the beginning, had dropped their NW from higher than ours at the start of the war to lower than ours at current date.
I think this was the day we stripped Pit of Despairs honor. He was 'inactive' up to this point since early war and had the most honor out of all their attackers, so we took it from them and some land. Was a chore but once he started to fall it was easy - him later sending out troops to regain his acres made it even easier and could have been his downfall had we felt he was a serious threat.

    Day 6 and 7

Same as before. I think day we worked down Feed Da Om Nam - one of their humans that turtled for a day or so.

January 16 of YR4 The dragon ravaging our lands has flown away.
February 1 of YR4 Bodega of Lotus has withdrawn from war. Our people rejoice at our victory!
