just a personal interest but are the vast majority of players Americans...
if so, why does it appeal to them so much...
if not where do you think the majority of players lie...
discuss, thanks :)

In my experience the game is very global.

A lot of Swedes, for some reason. I don't think I've ever been in a kingdom without at least one Swede in it.
and alot of vile dutchies, them pesky dutchies are everywhere!
Though, of course, there are actually quite a lot of players from (Northern) America, I'v also played with many Asians.... and always a bunch of people from Europe (and, yeah, for some reason Sweden seems to be very common ;)).
I believe quite a fair bit of Singaporeans play this game, I myself included lol. In game terms the "player per acre" is pretty high here I would think ^^
Fair few aussies around as well
The Elf Mystic
Flaming stupid people since 1999
From what I've seen over the ages, it is rare to meet southerners in this game. Very few Spanish, Italians, French nor nearly anybody from South America. Also very few Germans and Russians, but unlike the first 3 I mentioned, I've actually met a few.
All it is really down to, is language. In Europe, aside from UK, rest of players come from countries where English is very well spread. I've heard about 95% of Swedes speak english - a lot of swedes in uto. About 90% Dutch speak english - a lot of people from Holland. For many smaller eastern europe countries younger generation all speaks english now(instead of russian as main 2nd language like during soviet times) - so a lot of people from there. People from the "big" countries or/and with a big language preffer games in their native tongue plus often don't speak english(since they have no need to study it, unlike people who speak a lesser known language).
Same for most common Asian countryes like Philippines(100M people, english as offical 2nd language), Hong Kong(offical 2nd language) and Malaysia(best known 2nd language) and Singapure(one of offical languages).
And rest are Aussies(english speaking) and people from North America(obv english speaking).
So it's all down to who speaks english and where there are computers.

majors are sg, australia, USA, some europe. others are just filling in
Wheres the roros?
In "Eastern Europe". But it's a rather interesting that country this far south has been standing out and given us so many players. I used to think this game fits worse for temperamental southern types and better to northern colder more calculating types(besides where weather is ****, people have more time to sit in their rooms behind a computer), so jea roro boom was kinda suprising to me initially.
