In a short war the primary benefit the faery cow brings is economic. But in a longer war like this one, a province whose economy cannot be stopped is a huge force over time. By the time all other provinces are down to 30 dpa the faeries are essentially untouched.

Well said. The mechanics and fundamentals of this game truly showed themselves... almost every ability was used purposefully this war from both A's and TM's. 357 Hours of war ~15 days.
I made the most attacks/uniques and still finished negative not too shabby S:S
-1073 acres: comfortably numb (124/77)

-- Uniques: 768
Total attacks suffered: 2,166 (226,120 acres)

Nice. Now that's an even match.
Even if you couldn't see the kd's you'd guess from this alone that it's Orcs vs Avians :)
Strategy prevailed.
