Been arguing with a buddy about homes. Homes hold an extra 8 pop. Does science actually affect this? Meaning can pop science increase the amount of pop that homes hold (above 8 per home)? A bit confused so could a seasoned player please answer this?

simple answer is YES
a non home acre houses 25 people, if you have 10% pop science it holds 27.5. A single home houses 33 people, if you have 10% pop science it holds 36.3.
