How typical, we have now moved to trying to shame HoH from being allies with abs even though it obviously works for them and praising simians for farming out.
Seriously the attitude of I'm going to control the whole top race, everyone will play off my actions and then when it turns out differently throwing a tantrum threatening a scorched earth policy and basically taking you ball and running home crying is rewarded.
If you are the least bit capable of putting sanc in a tough position through good strategic game play and laming them more power to ya. If ya just FSU cuz ya got outplayed then I hope you get the gang bang ya deserve.
All that being said I like simians, thought they played a good age up to the noticing part and its sad to see how it turned out for them.

I asked last night before I went to bed for a kingdom mate to screen shot our warboard that showed that all of Simians potential attackers had armies out with the exception of one of the coke provs (2 have similar names) , mab , and the bank , and faery provs had armies home.Code:Dont you think HoH are mad at getting the win against Simians who aren't really hitting back? I think saying Simians threw the fight to spite Absalom takes away from our activity/ effort/ strategy before and during war. I also think Simians has a very good crew of players an that the paper doesn't show how hard fought of a war it was on both sides. One of Simians biggest problems was there bank prov looks to be abandoned, im not entirely sure at what point it happened. They halso had a cpl Of provs that Weren't army in or out. Our orcs for the most part were tripling on average army in and out.
I don't care to post in this thread much more since it's just turning into a flaming thread like all the others in this forum, maybe and end of war paper once wd is made by them or us. KyGal and hengz from our crew need a congratulations on a flawless strategy.

It's an inevitable fallout of the noticing system. The noticed kingdom feels they have a right to claim a fight, when a kingdom notices them, and feels that a notice-and-run strategy is lame. And they're right to feel that way, of course.
When it leads to multiple kingdoms being noticed at the same time, the noticees get to pick who fights. This was the same as when Sanc noticed pulse and then inzo - you guys got to pick which one fought us and the other got to vulture. Here we got to pick who would fight them (sanc) and hoh would have been able to vulture. You cannot dodge a kingdom you noticed by waving someone else just before they can wave you, and you shouldn't be able to. It's not a licence to double-team but if you put yourself in that position, you deserve what you get.
Ultimately the solution should be to stop the dumbass noticing system, but with dicing mechanics the way they are now that isn't possible. If nobody ceasefired there would be no dicing and no separation and the ghettos would whine - and still someone would manage to get the ceasefires they need and they'd just pull away. Ultimately everyone except top kingdoms is happy with the current mechanics; the problem is that it makes top play something that most kingdoms ridicule and try to avoid. The whole game, top to bottom, would be a better and more popular place if top play was something that kingdoms tried to achieve.
And at risk of repeating myself again and again, the growth (pool/dice/explore) mechanics changes I've proposed will make all that happen. If dicing acres stick around and aren't lost when you fight and the pool is easier to empty overall, then fighting won't be something kingdoms shy from, the blocking strategy will fail, and huge nap rings won't be needed to keep up in the top. Win, win, win.
Addendum: there are a few things we could do to improve the situation even without mechanics changes. Additional clauses on ceasefires is generally a really bad idea, but if everyone agreed "the noticing kingdom cannot be in fortified when cf expires" it would help.

absalom KDs has done this hit and run strategy in the past. The only difference is they have taken pure GHETTOS half their size and given them button. Knowing they would never press it. What Simians did was entirely different. We gave HoH the button. Not any random ghetto that just happen to get themself into warring range. Now you cant war half the KD your size any longer. But this was certainly not a hit and run strategy. We wanted to war HoH round 1 and Sanc round 2.
It does not really matter, next time i see Dorje is when i hit him into hostile/war next age.

YEs hoh strat and play has been great there no doubts there.... It really would have been nice sanc let simians and hoh fight at start and some of the semi abandoned provinces in simians did fight

If you both agree you can't call dibs then you would think you must agree that some hits counts as calling dibs.
