Does Conquest "block" Ambush?

Apologies if this has already been made clear somewhere.


I make one Trad March on [Target A].

Then I make one Conquest on [Target A].

If [Target A] goes to Ambush my attacks, do they have to Ambush the Conquest attack first, as it is the more recent attack?

Or does Conquest not count as a "successful land attack" for the purposes of Ambush?

Seems like doing a Trad March then a Conquest is an excellent way to help interfere a bit with your Trad March being Ambushed, if that's the case.

You can Ambush a Conquest, Traditional March, and an enemy Ambush attack. The only attacks you can't Ambush are failed attacks, Anonymous attacks, or War Spoil attacks.

Yes they must ambush the conquest first.

and yes, its a good way to make them burn an extra general to get to the big hits. Especially good in chains.

The most recent non anonymous attack with gains. So war spoils/learn/plunder/anon will cause you to ambush the next most recent, etc.

So there's no such thing as "blocking" an ambush with an anony if you double tap?

That would automaticly go to the trad. If you do the conq it would mean they have to send 1 gen and a troop to get to the next hit.
