If AW has a max of 1.4% wizards killed and the op is being performed by a human with +30% damage or Avian with +20% damage, does the max increase to 1.4*1.2? or do you just require less thieves to reach this maximum damage?

It raises the cap and wts lower the cap
what palem said + you send same # of thieves to reach the new caps (ie, gains per thief also increases with cap, or decreases if we're talking about WTs)
Also be awared that the exact mechanics of AW is not known (at least not according to the wiki), so the above might not apply.
