Game Needs More Good kds Competing

I know the "secret" i have crowns as players and leaders between wol, bf and genesis as well as one of the best WW records in the game with my current kd. Palem makes it sound though that the WW kds are missing something and it was implied that my kd has made mistakes/bad picks based on our position. My argument is quit complaining there's no completion, heck we've been #4 alot of thier age and i specifically told my kd we wont be trying to crown and have made moves to back that up. Either suggest a "fix" what u think is wrong or organize a group of people in game to make the top more interesting. Palem your not skilled enough to do organization and the "Fix" suggestions would kil the game. So either start complaining u think there needs to be more "top" kds or do something about it but its useless to backhandedly insult "war" kds by telling them they suck.

I could be mistaken, but wasn't Monument in Sanctuary's path of destruction after they got beat down by GT58 early and ended finishing #2 pretty much through warring alone? They seemed to do ok warring YOU in YOUR environment.

No one is saying abs/hoh/pulse are BAD kds, almost all war kds lose at some point doesnt mean "competing" for the top is the right direction for monument to go to "prove" the are good, anyone whose wars them (we have and beat them) could tell you they are a decent kd and given the right starting point could very much compete even if they'd lose.

@Persain - This is nothing like world of warcraft. Everything on utopia is connected, not so much in WoW. You want honor? You need to war. You want to crown? You'll need to war. You want to win wars? You may need to engage in a war or two. As far as your race setup and competeting. You have 1 more war win than Rage and you are 62% of their size.

again diplomacy and whoring Choices...or "mistakes" if u will. Would anyone say we made the right call for a whoring kd to drop from 17 million to 9 million nw to war brainstorm. Had we made different choices and our bottom 4-5 been only slightly better it'd be completely different, but then again u can argue we suck as much as u want its not a big deal to me. just remember things arent gonna change unless there a leader to lead it or a game mechanic to change it. Game change would be bad, and calling the people u want to lead it bad isnt the right way to get someone to step up.

Who were those monument kids that keeps boasting that they beat us any ways? I come back at the end of the age and the kingdom's all emo because they were beaten by some unknowns. As for that Cats war... it was a shame. We were eating them alive until I went on vacation.

Anyways, whoring is fun but so is war. For a kd like BiO that's been around longer than most, it's worth doing different things and taking ages off - people get burnt out and/or people move on with their life style.

@Persain - I'm not saying Divinity sucks. I'm saying you can do better and for most of the "warring" kds, that means trying the whoring side of things. Same message goes out to Rage, who I happily admit is one of the best kds in the game left, and Sanctuary, and HoH, and Beastblood. They can improve. I don't see them in here complaining and putting words in my mouth saying that I said they suck.

Since I'm not a moderator, I'll come out and say Divinity sucks. Granted, Rage, Sanc, HoH, and Pulse all suck, but Divinity is a tier below that level.

The underlying tone you’ve used throughout this thread is that bigger>better. Big=good, small=bad as well as war kds should grow & learn from kds that are better than them, ie that by defintion they aren’t as good because they don’t want to whore and that they “lose” by not fighting to “win”.

Its not losing to not grow, nor are by definition rage, sanc, hoh, simians, inzo, somehow magically better and than canWe, wehurt, freaksytle, cats, Balance, Force, Bodega, or whatever kd Eowlyns tagged as. ie your posts read like the "small" war kds make poor races choice and need for certain kds to teach them how to play. You dont address they right crowd, if u dont like abs controlling the top its not right to say smaller kds should step up in a tone that reads like an insult, either suggest a fix or tell the top to try waring for more than 1 age since they are so good they make the top boring. Sanc didnt exactly beat every war kd last age and even if they did and were deamed best war kd in the game what about the 1/2 dozen other kds that normally stay big, or giving a munment a rematch. Goodness knows 6-7-8 ages whoring means they've jockeyed for position with rage long enough for it to be boring.

I’d argue it’s the perfect choice in that we’ve gotten to “improve” by fighting kds we don’t normally get to and allow us the actively level we are able to commit to.

There's your answer. They fight for land and networth because that's all they know, and that's all they can do.

They're good at that to the point where warring KDs don't compete for land or networth, because there just isn't any point competing with a KD that has 5 Human Merchants, and 20 Dwarf Merchants. Like really? Merchant? Our ghettos don't allow attackers to be merchants, because it's such a piss poor choice for one.

But they aren't really into warring or WWs. The most reknown KD with the worst WW ratio. Thumbs #*$&ing up. (Y)

i assume some absalom kd is feeding of you atm. here's what i don't understand. why did you get in their range anyway ? since you only have 20 provinces.
who did you expect to meet in that range ? if you want to go for land be prepared for it. what's wrong with dwarf merchant/human merchant setup?
if it's such a poor choice how come your kd doesn't farm them ?

Also I said in op that abs is not the problem. It's the mindset of the warring kds that is the problem. They think they need to change their playstyle by leaps and bounds if they wanted be larger. Like they'll need to assemble a hefty NAP list and spend days upon days trying to diplo with douchebags. Newsflash: you don't. Someone waves you, then war them. If you can't beat them then you've got something to improve on. I wholeheartedly agree that kds like FS or ghetto kitties could compete with the top kds RIGHT NOW, but they choose not to and that makes my heart cry :'(

There is more to the story than that, but rather than roll out excuses I will leave it at, I screwed up and got slapped hard for it. Had I not screwed up would we have won? I dunno, but I would like to have played the non-screwed up version.
