This discussion is lasting far too long, and there is nothing new being said that hasn't already been said somewhere in the last 20 pages. The most intelligent arguements for stealing were made by THX1912, scroll back and read what he has to say. The biggest player against stealing has been Andr3w, nobody knows who he is and he says the same thing each post.

Lets summarize the content in this thread, in point form:

~There are two types of players: those who think stealing is OK, and those who don't.

~90% of the posts in this thread are from the whiners who have had gold stolen. The players who think stealing is OK are keeping their mouths shut for fear of being ostracized in the same way that Debauchery is. To say Debauchery is the only kd stealing is just naive.

~In my experience from stealing this age, I only find success stealing from players with around 2 tpa or less. Train 3 or more tpa and my low success rate will deter me from stealing and I will move on. Yes, halfers can steal from just about anyone they want. EoWcf gives you enough protection to keep me out, even with just 3 tpa.

~If you have had time to stock 4m+ gc, you've had time to draft and train to 3 tpa. There is no argument for attackers running under 3 tpa. My favourites are those attackers with 10m gc, 20k soldiers, and 1 tpa. It is your own choice to not train thieves, which I will remind you do not add wages.

~Anyone who thinks you can safely stock gc during EOW cf (which is NOT an active war), you do so at your own risk. If I find you and infiltrate you to find low thieves, you will lose that money.

~I will respect the wishes of any player who politely asks me to stop stealing. A few times this age kds have asked me to stop, and I have. Those who send me nasty messages just get more stolen.

~Every action comes with some risk. Whether I steal 500k from a prov in normal stance, or 4m from a prov stacking gc in EoWcf, I am 'stunting your growth' and people will get upset. You decide an appropriate punishment for the action. If you think some gold stealing warrants razekilling provs, be prepared that what goes around, comes around. If you've got halfers, try stealing back it is fair game.

~For as long as the game allows thief ops into and out of war from outside kingdoms, you can expect Debauchery and other kingdoms to continue robbing gc from provs who neglect their thieves.

~There is one kingdom who is 'punishing' Debauchery for stealing. It is Ezzerland's kd, ironically one of the few kds that we did not steal from. Though I think Ezzerland should be spending more time with his kd practising how to win wars, at least by doing this he feels like he is making a bigger impact in the game by 'policing' the server. 20m kd trying to hurt 11m kd, here is our news summary: Total land exchanged: -171, and this doesn't count what has been explored/diced since then.

I know where he plays. I talk to him almost everyday in IRC. Do your research, it'll amaze you what you can find out.

The people who post in these forums are the minority. Out of the thousands of people who play there are maybe about 50-100 who visit or post in the uto forums. So saying those who are okay with stealing are hiding when the people who have been posting in this thread, except for the Strippers players, are regular forum posters. There are many more people who could be okay with it, but they don't visit the forums to 'have their say'.

You're right, it is their choice not to raise their TPA. But it is also your choice to steal from their EOWcf and you are the ones that are going to pay the consequences.

And I would almost bet that if your actions continue like this over the ages... this won't be the only age you're going to be razed for it. People are going to see this as an example of how retribution should work in the game. It's going to set a standard for everyone. Maybe it'll take us back to how things used to be run.

I feel sad :( But im pretty sure I dont need to be someone famous/recognised to be able to post my thoughts here? :) and yea, Im a nobody. For most of my post, I just stated that majigga's post looks to me pretty much a straight up confession about both KD faking a war (or maybe my english is that bad, you decide after reading his post)..

and about thiefing: I am sitting on the fence alil more than against stealing in eowcf..I said you can do what you want and expect something in return if the KD does decides to return the favor next time..there isnt really anything to debate here about whats right/wrong since the game is made this way and ppl just need to play as how they like it n accept the consequences..

Steal from us in normal stance and it's our fault. We've not waved/hit/touched a kd in any way/shape/form that has robbed from us in normal/fort/aggressive. I have politely messaged people and told them I think they've stolen enough (without retal). They typically cease and find a new target. Rob into war, though, and there is no asking nice.

You have robbed from the kingdom I play for. But it's cute of you to try and lie :) Also, your summary is false. Not counting acres you have explored/diced you are -3k. Math is clearly beyond you. Now, -3k is not a lot. GBP is quite helpful to slow razes down. Also, we are the only kd razing you because the others that have asked us (2 kds so far) if we want help razing you, we've told no. WE have kept this conflict 1v1 to offer you the opportunity to fight back.

The kingdom I play for does not believe in being 'police'. We do, however, believe in payback. And sure, we could focus on winning wars. Or we could be like you and just collect them from any mid-sized ghetto in range. Or hey, offer Fake war deals to get them.

Nothing Debauchery has done is remotely close to 'the most' immoral thing in the game. In fact, in my history in this game nothing Debauchery has done is even remotely close to the things I have done. Even Bishop can attest to this. That doesn't make what they have done very smart, now does it? They stole our gc into EoWCF, we razed them into fort. If we have no right to complain about their theft, they have no right to complain about our wave. We even offered this fight to them at a time when they could fight back.

And quite funny how Ezz compares himself to Debauchery in that last line. We are two peas in a pod :)

Since it's so easy to defend against stealing into eowcf without really slowly down the progress to rebuild, I'm guessing those people who argue for it wouldn't mind me stealing into their eowcf and waving them when they come out would they? Since it would just be like stealing into "enhanced" fort.

I use my own formatter. Takes me no time at all. But you're right. Your formatter that does your math for you is wrong, and therefore you were wrong. You also might want to edit your post again, before a mod does it for you.

This is exactly the point. We steal from you, you steal from us. In fact, I would actually prefer you to escalate the meter and give us button while inflicting minimal damage due to EoWcf bonuses. Love being able to start a new war the hour we finish an EoWcf

Why would I escalate the meter when in EoWcf, I will only wave you when you come out from it. The point being you just came out from war with damaged provinces and me not giving you anytime to recover. Not only will I be more pumped, I'm slowing down your recovery rate as well. You probably think you can circumvent it by stealing into other pple's eowcf and not stocking too much gold but not every kingdom prefer to run 3tpa on their attackers and it doesn't change the fact that I would still gain an advantage over you not because I'm better but by taking advantage of your situation. It might not matter to you since all you are after is war wins no matter the form they come in but some of us actually prefer to respect our opponents and fight fun wars on more or less even grounds.

you have -%75 mod tpa and gains opping into eowcf or +%300 protection - which makes your tpa x4 and assuming you will have some tpa left from war +1.5 more tpa to train (end up in 2 rtpa) will give you quite a good defense against any thievery attempts combined with -%75 gains mod.. your opponent needs to send *ALL* thieves to rob through the gains mod and even 1/3 fail rate will be enough deterrent when they can steal better from other targets.. just dont blame me for stealing you when i can get +200k an op with 0 fails..

I've said that pages ago. They just wont budge, stop wasting your time here and just keep merrily robbing them.
