BB vs PewPew

PewPew, a Brief History

Age 57: Pew gets into a conflict with Rage, Rage decides to milk a hostile for longer than anticipated. Rather than war and lose, Pew resets all their provinces so Rage cannot double crown. Pew finishes somewhere in the top 100.
Age 58: Pew donates like 100k acres to SWEA in a war deemed actionable by mods. They do so to prevent AMA from crowning, and to avoid AMA taking their acres. Pew finishes 12th.
Age 59: Pew "loses" ~50k acres to RBL in a conflict where half their outgoing attacks were learns. They have two "arranged wars" with ED (to prevent AMA from taking acres), Ryan wins the land crown and joins Pew the next age (surprise?) Pew finishes 10th.
Age 60: Pew heartily gangbangs AMA late-age. They finish in 2nd after a farm war with legacy nets them like 35-40k acres.
Age 61: Pew intra-razes cows so BB can't get many acres; they post veiled threats like "BB will not crown this age."

Pretty much every person I've spoken with in Pew (binar, bungarm, chrystal, etc) seems like a cool person. But from a kingdom-level perspective, seriously what gives? Is this a history you guys are proud of?

4 out of the last 5 ages, when you were faced with a sizable conflict in the top 5, you gave up in one way or another and bailed, several times resorting to scummy and questionable mechanics use?

How do you guys work so hard for weeks on end, just to throw it all away with no integrity or pride whatsoever? Are you that spiteful? I honestly don't get it.

I dont know about age 57-58, so I cant comment.

Age 59, Pew basically spent more than 75-80% in war+eowcf. They warred alot of times afair. I dont think it's totally fair to blame them when they know they had 0 chance vs a pumped Rage. They probably lost a lot of weight+sleep+drinking time during that age

Age 60, Pew didnt gb AMA. and yes they were 1 of the strong anti-advocates. Again, I dont know if it was for 'personal gain' and hence wanted the GB to stop so Pew would have more crowning chances. I doubt so. Many kingdoms suggested Pyro to stop taking part in the GB, and since Pew was a neutral party (compared to BB), their input was 1 of the main results why we pulled out. Tox, Ryan, Binar were like key anti-advocates of the GB.

Knowing many of the Pew Pew players, war will never interrupt their drugs, drinking or sexy time.

When I want a weaker kd to war me, I make it pleasurable to war. When I want to bully, I bully. I suspect it is the same for bb. Stop trying to be other than you are. Stop trying to seem other than you are.

In my personal ethos, because I care more about enjoying the game than free acres, I would never treat any other KD the way I see top KDs treat others. It is why they are on top and that is the way it is. I will still call it scummy when I see it.

This causes a certain about of discomfort to me because all the people I have played and enjoyed this game with for so long are all in top KDs and so I have to deal with this crap even though I find it repugnant. Therefore I have this one man crusade of mine to try to get people to be decent to each other. It is also why I refuse to lead a KD anymore. Someone who actually enjoys talking to top "leaders" and dealing with their crap can do that.

The only way I could lead now would be to do some small time war KD. The problem with doing that is I can't attract the active players that are needed so that I don't have to hold everyone's hand. If you want players you don't have to babysit, you need to play high, but then you have to deal with the crap diplomacy that takes even more time. The state of the game is, baby sit other leaders, or babysit your kingdoms provinces. Either way, you have to deal with children.

If I lead small, the people (other than Korp, Cello, and others who understand that I am a nub with no patience for top diplomacy) around will complain that I am just not motivated to compete and that I am ruining the game by preying on small kingdoms in a lame attempt to gain cheap war wins.
