I can see you have been doing this for a while now, you are quite proficient at it I have to admit, quite admirable, but it gets annoying after a while, if I was you I'd keep it to like 3-4 posts at a time maximum.

The problem with this "alliance" war is that flogger has no alliance, simply a group of kingdoms who mostly wanted free acres from a kingdom dumb enough to be independent. They are, and will remain, 100% in the wrong.

Yesterday flogger proposed a deal in principle where we'd stay out of the top 10, yada yada yada. But there was no way he could finalize the deal, because there was no way he could stop FS from declaring on us and pyro waving us into war the entire time to recover all the acres they farmed out to us when we warred. This, of course, after their kingdoms spent a week bouncing and opping us down in hostile because none of the ones in declare range would give us button before that.

Since we've left war with pyro, BB is +9k, pandas +14k, and pyro +3k (they wouldn't give us button until we were safely in another war of course) off of trad marches on us.

In the year or so I was gone from this game the ethics of utopia have morphed to unimaginable lows. I've been back two ages and the fecal matter I've seen in that time defies belief. Farming gold and acres from your allies prior to every fight is the norm now? Dealbreaking to take acres is acceptable play? When an ethical mistake is made without intent and reparations offered, you accept them with the intent to break the deal later? Have any of you even played this game before outside of genesis?

I have yet to decide if utopia is worth the trouble to bother with, but if it is it has no place for kingdoms like Pyro, BB, WSK, and Pandas.

The onus is not on us to end this "alliance war". We, ironically, do have an alliance, and one whose resolve - and ethics - have only been hardened by this bull****. Flogger's alliance is a group of 6 kingdoms pieced together for the purpose of taking acres. If he doesn't have an alliance to make a group ceasefire, then it was his individual kingdoms choices to all individually dealbreak us and wave for acres. Flogger's original claims of not intending to profit from it are weakened with every trad march done; his kingdoms have grown 50k by profiting off of their numbers. The onus is on flogger to make things right and show that this is something else than the standard genesis-style "put together a bunch of friends and get acres wherever you can" play. Unfortunately for all of us that's exactly what this move is, and there is no way to show otherwise.

My original offer is still open: flogger may have every one of his kingdoms return the acres they took from our kingdoms via dealbreaks or hitting into war, and we can all move on. See, that's what you do when you make an ethical mistake but are not actually a dirty kingdom: you offer reparations, they are accepted, and then you move on.

It's been almost 24h now since flogger made a proposal that I found agreeable. Very shortly after he made it and I was agreeable, he told me he had to log off for his bday to spend time with his gf, and to PM the logs to protector to get the deal finalized. I PMed them to prot 6h later, prot stalled/delayed reading them for another few hours, then argued with me for 2 hours about the terms he wanted that were different from what I'd already been offered, changed the terms (basically back to square one), and had to go sleep. Since he went to sleep, FS declared us, BB, Pyro, and TBB? Did full waves in, and now they are RKing more of our provs.

The above doesn't even mention the 24-30+ total hours I've spent talking to flogger/darkie/protector over the last 9-12 days trying to reach a deal that doesn't completely destroy our kd. But I guess they would rather destroy our kd than admit that this has gone too far from their side. Their point was made a week and a half ago.

So no, its just a bit inaccurate and insulting to suggest we aren't trying to accept punishment. They either don't seem to be at all interested in making a deal or bb has lost control of their alliance members.

Also, serious question for everyone: has bombdigie ever made a coherent, constructive addition to any discussion?

So keeping in mind Dorje's post, I again ask the same question. If you want to punish someone it should have been razes! Also why is pandamodium using this GB as a medium to explore up their provinces? Just to match crazies who are waiting to give notice? Why are you using this GB and saving gcs?

So all in all, you Explore up + save gcs in this whole GB + grow from the land taken from us and then go and war Crazies with all the advantages?
