I think it was around this time you offered us to CF for approx 750 honor points per day last age, I am sure Parth would consider something like that if you asked. I mean, that was what you thought was fair last age amirite?

So ED waved FS, FS didn't want to war(what diplo was done here, was a CF reached?) then FS then explored and waved ED back and asked for 1 free wave, ED didn't want to give 1 wave so they hostiled for weeks.... is either side disputing these facts or do I have them wrong?

From my understanding, and I might be wrong on some facts:
Last age
1: ED asked FS if they were interested in warring as they were both same size and near top honor charts
2: FS declined and ED moved on
3: FS explored and secured a big acre and UB lead
4: FS then decides to start hitting ED after declining war at the same size
5: ED declines war due to size difference
6: FS then continually hits ED for 1-2 weeks knocking them out of the honor charts
Fast forward to this age
1: ED plans to come for FS after their war with Emeriti
2: FS leaves eowcf early, ED (not in war builds) immediately switches builds and hits the next hour
3: ED catches FS with their pants down and continues to hit
I only played in ED for the last age or two and dont normally get involved in this stuff these days but the fact of the matter is that ED has tried to war FS the last two ages at almost the exact same size. Therefore the **** that we had to eat last age is now coming back on FS this age... probably with a little interest.
Now I am not saying that FS has done anything wrong, it is their right to decline wars and grow as they please. It is their right to hit ED non stop for weeks and win the honor crown, it sucks but all perfectly legitimate Utopian Game play.
On the other hand ED is just repaying the favour, not breaking any rules, not double hostiling, not hitting into war. We saw a chance, we took it.
Neither are wrong or right, they just 'are'. ED is pissed at FS for last age, FS is pissed at ED for this age but the bottom line is that the situations are almost identical as last age IMO.

With 2 big differences, ED is in far superior position right now. Last age's conflict ED started in a good position, but failed to take the advantage after making tactical error's. and after we took advantage, well you know what happened.
Second, we are ready to move on, but ED making ridiculous demands for a CF.
Just like last age then when Francis said he would raze into any eventual future war ED were in? No, you cant retal until meter is at 147pts and then just say "Oh, no we changed our mind, hostile is over": Hostile is over when both KDs have had enough. But Im sure that we can come to some agreement if you give us an incentive. Just sending ingame CF when both of us are at (nearly) maxed meter is not enough to claim "Hostile is over".
As for the whining about "Oh, poor us we had so and so much fewer troops" Well, you are sitting at 5 wpa raw and 5 tpa raw on your core. If you expect to have the same number of military as a same sized (in both land and nw) KD on top of those ratios then Im not sure what to tell you. When hostilities started we had the same land and same nw (with what you had in training). You tried once gain to out explore us by coming out of eowcf a little early. If you drop out before you consider yourselves fully trained thats not really our problem now is it? You tried to do what you usually do, outgrow and then try to force war. It didnt work this time since we learned from our misstake last age.

Yes, last age ED made some tactical errors if you want to call them that. When we save you continue to grow we dicussed whether or not we should do the same in order to get into a war with you on even footing. We came to the conclusion that we wouldnt know when you would stop growing if we also kept on growing so there was no telling how big we would be after an eventual war. We had no garantuees what so ever that we would actually get any war. Since we wouldnt have ANY honor KD in range if we continued to grow we said "screw it, we are not growing indefinetly" and simply let you guys grow bigger than us. Clearly it was a big misstake from our part thinking that you would powerplay us when you were in a superior position. This whole growth issue from last age is the only reason we had to add that caveat for the extension of CF offer we sent you.
Last age it was ED's fault for not closing a CF deal after the first message for war. FS explored, and took advantage from a far superior position. It makes sense, its a war game and they won the honor crown off it.
This age ED waved FS at the same size and took advantage of a situation where we, now, are in a superior position. Sure some are some minor differences but its essentially a similar situation.
We were not happy eating hits for weeks from FS in a position where we clearly couldn't win but we had to deal with it. Alas the Utopian world has a funny way of working out and now FS find themselves in the exact same position as us last age.
In the end ED only asked for war or commenced hostile relations at almost the exact same size as FS both ages.

What really makes me sad, is finding out that the kd with a really cute name and banner is actually full of players with a crazy deep grudge :(

Did you read my post? I agreed that we got out ****played by you guys last age. Thats why we made sure the same thing wouldnt repeat itself this time around. So now its you guys that will have to "get over it" But yeah, just three days of hostile so far, 11 more days and it will be as drawn out as last ages hostile. Lets see if it gets to that.
I like your assesment of situation Ben. Neither is wrong or right, they just are ... its a perfect summary.
You facts about last age conflict are wrong though, deliberatly or not you are wildly off ... like waaaaaaay off
