oh just tick for feb 2? Oh that would be good.

"having fun warring when you have whoring and number 1 as a goal is totally pointless..." - Korp
"while I heart shiester when we both play serious and are in the same kingdom, I hate shiester on the forums and pretty much disagree with everything he says. Even he knows this." - Flogger asking me out on a date
The devs have made a decision to kill competitive utopia and have thereby killed my interest with it.
If you're hitting people with a ton of offense on your very first hit, you're doing it completely wrong. It's hard for me to call completely inferior play with a very small silver lining a benefit. Thats the equivalent of playing russian roulette with a 7 load chamber instead of 6.
Actually it really doesn't bother us. There are like 5 good players in our kd and the rest we recruited that have never played before or only started last age. This freeze time doesn't bother us at all. It actually helps because we took this time to point out why this prov only got 25 acres. What that prov should have done before she hit. What this other prov should have done to get better thievery gains. So like I said the freeze time doesn't hurt noob kingdoms. You will lose acres anyway. I mean who cares? Take this time and teach your people. Talk to your new recruits. Less QQ more pewpew.
All for one and one for Chrystal!!
1) Accumulation of issues that caused unfair advantages for some players
2) like half price thief costs that got fixed after some had already trained
3) islands opening up so people who log later had a much wider range of targets available to attack/thieve
4) the hostile meter thing
5) i guess if some faeries spend 90% stealth on first tick and got back to 100% on second that is also a considerable advantage compared to those who thought to wait for better targets to become available
basically the main point is in 1) just too many issues to just ignore, it would be a good sign to just admit that this was a pretty bad start of age and try to do it better on second try. just imho.
Islands didn't continue to open up. People that logged in late had the exact same range as the people who logged in on the 2nd.
The hostile meter issue is just a display bug. Everything seems to be functioning correctly.
The other 3 issues are incredibly minor. Some provinces lucked out and got the better side of the situation, it happens in both utopia and life. Adjust and deal with it.
Word. What palem said. Can we get more selfies instead of QQ?
All for one and one for Chrystal!!
OK I don't quite understand what is occurring but I do see that more than 1/2 of the players in here feel that a reset is justified. But it appears that the mod(s) are ignoring that fact. I have been in other games when this junk had occurred, very early in the game, and a reset was done. I am sorry if I somehow gained an upper hand during all of this - but I will admit I did have fun attacking and winning; an interesting game I will say. (from what little I know of it)
Again sorry X many. I hope it all works out well. Perhaps the next age (in Dec?) I will return to game. Have fun all. And special thanks to the GoodWitch and her friends for being so supportive in my learning to start a province within their kingdom. I'm sure she can find a replacement.
GOOD LUCK ALL! And happy holidays!
Here's the issue at hand:
The bug caused a serious problem that had to be fixed.
The PAUSE created entirely different problems that had ramifications for many people, regardless of whether or not some people will admit it (I'm sure the people here clamoring for no-reset are the ones that benefited).
The game should have been frozen entirely, not just paused. A complete freeze would have avoided this discussion entirely.
Bishop won't reset (And will probably reply to this trying to explain why a pause was a good idea), because he only cares about the top-tier players because he lacks business skills - and has a frustrating inability to admit when he's wrong.
Classic victim mentality.
Also, if Bishop was catering to top players (which is the opposite of what happens despite your Illuminati sources), then his business skills would be quite on point since they contribute FAR more to the business side of the game. Catering to the ghettos (which is what Bishop does) shows incredibly poor business skills. That's like opening a casino and telling all the high-rollers to go play somewhere else. So you really can't have it both ways that Bishop both caters to top kingdoms and has poor business skills.
Also also, has the thought occurred to you that maybe Bishop doesn't have the same tools as the devs and perhaps it was either pause the game, or let it keep going with faeries completely regen'ing their stealth/mana every tick?
Discuss all you want but there will never be a reset. For those who suffered, suck it up. For those who gained, good for you. Life goes on. Age goes on. QQ goes on.
2 ages in a row where there has been a screw up at OOP. Anyway a question to the devs, is restarting the game very hard in terms of coding and stuff. If it's just a click of a button I don't see why not to restart age 66 entirely. Yes there might be no compelling reason to restart but restarting doesn't have any drawbacks at all! So why not restart?
