What the heck did you just say, lol. I'm not sure why we are arguing....but all I'm saying is... there should be some sort of incentive NOT to back out of an already agreed upon war during pre-war fighting. Key words: "an already agreed upon war". Maybe there is a penalty for KDs backing out in place? Maybe there is a nice bonus given to the KD that doesn't forfeit during hostile period. I'm not sure. But, I would like to make a little simpler to actually engage in a war when it's originally agreed upon by both KDs.

That has been done many times. I can't speak for land dropping as our KD doesn't employ that tactic... but I do appreciate that incredible insight and I hope we can be friends.

I've used the following (and please tell me what else I can do):

1. Full learned wave into their fort (that got us a war!)
2. Offered to not land grab their T/Ms!
3. Offered the term: Most land in 48 hours wins! (that snagged a ghetto once)
4. After they backed out, we would continue waving them to make them angry and hopefully insight the originally agreed upon button pushing.
5. We would very patiently and nicely talk with their leaders to try and work something out.

You know what we never did and I liked a lot was a few ages back when Giraffes tried to war Spartans and Spartans didn't want it and Giraffes just kept hitting and hitting and hitting to force PKs while simultaneously starting a forum campaign to paint Spartans as the soft KD. And that they should war sooner rather than later because it'll just make it harder for them to win the war. And the utopian forum community backed zauper and whoever else was in that KD and put a lot of pressure on the Spartan leadership to push the button and declare. That was a brilliant move.

^^ That's what said on your KD page. I am genuinely asking this because I'm not very well versed in the daily interactions in the top 10, but have you tried warring those above you?

sure we have but we are also not the ones hurting for wars we just leaving another and going into another one.


edit: im not trying to be a jerk but the reason we didnt get land drops and took land bonus from war wins is because we dont want to deal with the war politics in the bottom. also the wars with people like ED and emriti and crazies is much more fun and the wins/losses are more enjoyable. we might have warred 1-2 kingdoms a lot smaller but they are also the most toughest when you are a big kingdom. also we are more warring tier than whoring. we dont hit little guys to get acres. we grew from our splore pool and by warring.

button play comes in handy when you are the smaller kingdom and are able to use the button to your advantage. if people would try warring people bigger and use the button then a ton of issues would be solved. there is to much "pm 4 war" and all that crap. pick a bully and war them.

Khrono, I am not griping, I am learning. I never said people should be "down with us" waving them. If they want to retal, that's fine. Just have the balls to do it when we are not engaged with another kingdom like Warlords and Hipmunks has done. Most people we wave either send us a CF and say no thanks to war, or they attack us back and we go to war. Like I said, it seems everyone this age wants to negotiate things. (Dude, you really should read the posts better, you are awesome at misinterpretation)

I can see why you and the Monarch of Warlords are such close friends. You say our actions will come back to bite us, and I say their actions came back to bite them. Why is it ok for them to seek revenge and not us? They could have settled this by warring us but they chose not to. Now, we are in war with someone else. Have a nice day!

Okay you said there should be some kind of incentive for not backing out, I'm thinking what you really want is for you to be able to 100% go to war once its agreed... I disagree with that 100%. Now an incentive to war and not back out of an agreed war could be a number of things: you could mass their t/m, take their science, take land from their t/m... I'm not saying this is always appropriate... its up to you to decide. Your milage may vary but thats part of the game; some will be better at this than others. I think charity also can go a long way, its not always morally right, nor advantages to always exact your due.

Concerns I think worth mentioning: you think its hard to war now? making a mechanic that enforces agreed wars may discourage some from entering into an agreed war. Also worth noting is I can well imagine many kingdoms would then change over to a agree, to make an agreed war situation and still back out.

Things maybe could be improved some but I think you are looking at this the wrong way.

there is to much of this happening. people not respecting a hostile. i also know it happens a lot when whoring tier comes along and tries to gain acres and not looks to see if people are hostile first. then they complain when the "ghettoes" rob their gc. we have not hit into anyones hostile so when we do get our gc stolen we will retal. in the top no one interferes in each others hostile. if that happens the top comes together and doles out punishment. why cant the war tier have something like this?

Well, I can well imagine someone else saying "its okay if you wave us, just have the balls to do it when we're not in pump mode"; and I can imagine many more.
