TS is the superior strategist in game but less so in war forum. I began to notice this when the kingdom went from TFC to HRS.

I've always felt world leaders and their cabinets should run a kingdom in Utopia, but I'll take pop stars as a close second.

In all seriousness, I nearly had to quit utopia some ages ago because of the terrible diplo environment. Instead I just chilled, relaxed for an age, took a couple of ages off, and now I'm enjoying myself. You're right, it IS a game, if you're not enjoying it then you shouldn't play it. It should be a positive impact on your life, ultimately. But you can determine this to some extent - MAKE it into the positive impact rather than the negative one. Control the game; control your emotions. Don't let them control you.

Sorry smercjd but my post stands, I had no intent to insult Palem but to make my opinion strong in this case.
Utopia is a very competitive, warring GAME that means ppl will try their best to take every advantage of your bad position, player with extensive experience ie 11 years of this game should know the way things work and know and that in reality offence is best defence in this game. This is related to Palem&co fight against single prov kd.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. We had offense. POINT was about 2-3k acres larger and was stacked with defense, plus he would WS all his hits, so we couldn't really retal without doing something like we did.

Second, you gotta have some class, this is informal, loose set of rules, open to interpretation but its still there, double hostiling, farming out, fakewarring, robbing oow, dealbreaking and so on are considered classless deeds, none is "clean" on this scale but your intention is important. Now, planning to get back at opponents with same ****plays they did to you and furthermore failing to do so is lame, get real here.

Just so I'm understanding right, a list of classy things to do, from best to worst:

1. Don't ****play
2. ****play for good reasons
3. Consider ****playing in a moment of frustration and then decide not to, after doing zero ****playing.

And most important thing is, this is a damn game, only real rule, have fun. Only things you should look back at this game when u quit is people you met here and good times you had with them. If you can't beat someone, learn2play, beat them.

I find it very weird and funny that people rage quit here, why even get to that point, none is forcing u to play it, its purpose is to make you feel good ;)

Not a problem. Everybody freaks once in a while. By example I don't go toward critisizing someone who simply had an emotional outburst.

While this might seem foreign or naive I assure the community that the most hurtful things can come from the least likely sources. Thus, I remind the little sharks that circle for blood at every turn to be mindful of that. Be kind and patient.

a little birdy told me there was some misinformation flying around here, so I thought I'd clear things up.

Same bird told me the same... so here I am.

What happened with POINT (the solo prov):
-I had intended to just have a chill age with a couple friends. We were seeing who could finish the largest. POINT was larger and continuously hitting our top.

Not really continuosly. It was two times somewhere between my first ~20 attacks. Then once or twice. I was in contact with "10k or bust" at one moment, and I told him that I will attack him, for example. He wanted to explore, and I made him build up his off. Between my attacks on you I was fighting with other kingdoms as well. You were just a simple kd target on my short list.

-I contacted him about a CF. He accepted, but broke the CF about 3-4 days later iirc.

True. But we settled the CF very fast, with no terms. I agreed because I was attacked by another top kingdom. When I was "OK", I came back to your kingdom, as promised.

-He continued hitting our top for acres which essentially put a cap on how large we could reasonably grow, so we decided we needed to do something about it. So we made preparations and began to bounce him down to remove him from his position.

Indeed, but you did it when I was under fortified. I was able to take acres from you AND to increase my def, despite your attacks.

-I figured he would call in some friends, so it was no surprise to me when a few kingdoms started hitting in (although I must say I was a little disappointed to see Emeriti in our news)

I have no friends in the game. I always played in ghettos. This age OOP I was almost killed so I had to re-start from below the normal size, in another kingdom. Then, I killed the whole kingdom and started to play different.

When fighting with your kd, I went to aggresive stance (after fortified) and made two attacks on you (I do not remember well on which provinces). This made me unfriendly with you, and your tms started to take my land (LL) and kill my troops more efficient. Fireballs too. I was looking for the fortified stance, to get back in shape (I was convinced I will recover fast). But... guess what, I started to get ops and attacks from other kingdoms. SPARTA was the most dangerous. I activated VM immediately after my double tap, so the decision to keep it was normal. I was convinced you asked for help, as they were puting pitfalls before the attacks! And giving me greed and riots out of nowhere.

-He made no attempts to contact me about arranging a CF.

Neither you did. I have no interest, as I was really enjoying the fight:

Why illegally? I thought you asked for help at SPARTA, and I disliked it. EMERITI also attacked me. So... it was too much.

So that's what happened with that.

In short, nothing "happened". There were no extra-meanie trolls. I wasn't suddenly extra-angry about something that's been happening for the past 11 years (kingdoms waving into my hostile). Utopia is a naturally frustrating game and there comes a time when you are unable to come up with a good answer to the question "Why am I here?". Over the past few ages I've found utopia to do nothing but make a negative impact on my life, and so I no longer wish to participate. It's really not any more complicated than that.

Hope that clears things up. To those that are still having fun, happy hunting :)

I am sorry for producing so much trouble, but I did nothing except attacking and defending. And for me it was fun.
And it is now, when your ex-kingdom did the same, only that I had no time to look over them, as some EMERITI provinces attacked me and I had to retail.

Entering vacation mode to avoid hits is against the rules. It's only supposed to be used when you'll be away from the game for an extended period of time and unable to manage your province (although obviously people abuse it all the time). That's why I said illegally.
