I thought the other reason to send ruby would be to bait Pandas to tank if the next was gold. do you guys tank stuff like that up there? I don't know the military expenditures allotted each kingdom. I'd imagine it an avian advantage.

Run it on 15% forts and ~<90% BE (and by now 70-80). DME wise, the Ruby wins by 3.5-4% on the faeries and more on the dwarves.
Sure it might be a small difference, but flogger was exaggerating a bit earlier. A couple of the hits wouldn't be possible if it had been a gold. (can argue gold, but in a situation where gold is getting more scarce, getting a couple mil for mercs is though.

So it was closer then I though then. I still wonder if a few bounces wouldnt have lowered the defenses enough and allowed u to break with a gold and a) get more losses on them as their hosps would be less effective and b) cause some food problems for their dorfs ?

Bouncing couldve added meter points. Wasn't worth it.

Since dragons werent started, we also didn't know which one they would send. Gold/ruby reversed would've made the faeries unbreakable, some of em anyway.

I obviously don't have your SoTs so I guess if you needed the extra 4% DME reduction that ruby gives over gold to break the T/Ms that kinda makes sense. However, if you can still break comfortably after the bounces, would a gold dragon reducing the forts be enough? On 15% forts (minimum I'd run on TMs), you're looking at about a 6% decrease in DME. If it's 300k vs 240k, gold should have done the trick unless they're retarded and not running forts which I can't believe. Plus you then have a dragon that isn't useless against the other 20 provs.

As far as your statement regarding the TMs on the orcs being useful, I completely disagree. Would have been much better to wait for the orcs to be home since all you care about is killing elites. Even if it doesn't fix the problem right away, it's a start.

Seems like BB is almost broke with several provinces on 0 gc last couple of hours.

Troop count still in favour of BB (75-85k ish) but peasant count in favour of Pandas (around 200k or so more).
