Both to drain their gc stacks and slay two oow dragons and to take away their speed and chain advantage and instead use orc gains, our higher numbers of hospitals and gb prot to our advantage. War was lost as soon as the early declare came being down 10K land on core and with them on a 100 Mil gc still

Last time I got Intel on a CR bank it had 2k bpa (don't know if it had stocked books) and that was 10 days ago when it was 12k acres.... Their entire core + banks will have minmum 2k bpa per prov advantage on Pandas. That's a massive uphill battle.

But panda warring their way to this position Is a good performance and I hope they win!

This is why Panda is one of the only top kds I would actually love to join. They actually war, they play some weird strats, and they also go for growth...

Their strat isnt weird. Its just very good. With the current state of Utopia u can sit on 150k defense on 11k provs in week 6 and not be razed. Before u needed that def week 2. They went with 0 merchants but still managed to pump enough gc to last them in a hostile and min time war. That is skills (and used to be close to impossible to do before with more kds close to size around you). Once they arent at a huge gc advantage their wh and tact setup is superior to say, a merchant setup, if the merchants cant out econ them.

This is where the math gets hazy for me.
I can see some population shifting with avians to achieve aspects of merchants + orcs setup to generate gold. I'm sure somebody's done projections on avian population bonus vs orcs free draft.

If I could think in numbers I'd look at different cascading formations of avian pop growth, orcs free draft, halfling pop capacity, faery mana bonus....and that's as far as I got. Trying to figure out who's the best candidate for merchant at the end of the line.
