NW-zones are not necesarily related just to your province. It could very well be related to the NW of other provinces in your KD. There is the individual perspective and the larger perspective. NW-zone generally means that it's a place in which you put provinces that are hard to chain down or to get any good gains on, because you remove enemy provinces from that zone. NW-zones can be broken up by doing razes/massacres on provinces during or pre-chain.

Pandas has a NW-gap between 440K and 650K. That however is still bridgeable. If CR were to widen that gap to 400 - 700K, it could lead to problems for Pandas, or at least slow down their chaining.
CR has a gap between 1.4M and 2.8M, which gives Panda some safety in that bracket at least when it comes to land.

just for noting, i have offered cf to your monarch prov (whoever is playing it) as soon as you have cfs up with both pandas & cr.. we have also stopped any hits on you because there arent any further hits into the war.. my message wasnt read so far though..
