Bad things happen. FS had a bad start vs Pyro last age or it was brilliant sandbagging. Either way it proves that logistics are a factor not the determining ingredient.
A cow bounce is probably one of the most anticipated strategic moves in the game. If the ratio of attacks to bounces were tallied I'm sure cow exchanges would yield a high, if not the highest percentage.
In the ghetto we go to war unprepared or underprepared more often than not. Random attacks are normal, wide differences in resources are standard, and strategies are usually not considered on their consequences. Since we all have occupied ghettos, and a few have the privilege of occupying tops, I can attest the differences aren't too significant.
The big difference is utilizing common sense. In warring FS I witnessed a kingdom that used common sense. As an example, you can explain to a player how a sage works but their ability to accept strategic alternatives is up to them. You can make your enemy stronger or weaker.
love that thick mahogany back with no belly carve or anything...pure thick wood ! The thing ROCK is made of !

Update? Looks like FS is turning The U into The FU Emeriti?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
They're now OOR to declare (and OOR to give FS a WW bonus) -- presumably they would have declared just before if that was their plan.
I also understand Emeriti has some land coming their way, which will further their lead. Plus they have... ~11 provs under the whore cap? Some (~4-5) by as much as 3k acres. Seems like it might be time for them to whore a little just to secure their advantage over FS.
Yeah Emeriti is still setup so they can wave a bunch of kds and put acres on anyone below the median. Interesting thing would be what deal Emeriti and FS have.
Still, would be fun to see some comments from FS and The U about the fight and whats going on there. Meter play, ops, gc, troops and peasant situation.

Yeah, would be curious to see updates. I suspect cow bounce was bad news. I think someone said upthread that the winner would be fighting emeriti in yr12, so plenty of time to whore and then potentially train up and get them even bigger.
From The U's perspective:
X:x | ow_cf_withdrawn:0 (1) | own_tm:16078 (36) | own_raze:494 (3) | own_fail:0 (21) | own_cf_proposed:0 (1) | own_cf_cancelled:0 (1) | own_bush:531 (2) | enemy_tm:42683 (101) | enemy_fail:0 (7) | enemy_cf_withdrawn:0 (1) | enemy_cf_proposal:0 (1) | -26074 total
Looks like all troops home atm -- last hit by the U was ~20 hours ago. FS troops probably home soon as well.

Looks like a massive free acres for cf deal. Would be curious to know what the terms are.
Age 65 - FreeakStyle - FeyrPlay Alliance Win - Dwarves Stole My Bike
Age 66 - FreeakStyle - #1 Honor & Warring Kingdom - Making FS Great Again
Age 67 - BeastBlood - #1 Honor Human(Prince) - Steve from Walmart
Age 68 - BeastBlood ft OldSchool - #1 Honor Kingdom & Avian - We Are All Feyr
Age 69 - Ancient Spartans - #1 Kingdom in The History of Utopia - Clever Use of Words
Age 70 - Ancient Spartans - #1 Land(25325 acres) & NW Faery - Spartan of Redeeming Qualities
They're now CF'ed; FS hit for about another 4k acres before.
So FS netgain ~30k.
More like 42K zauper. The U was 168k when the fight started and are 126k now.
CF someone for 25% of your acres instead of warring is on the ridiculous end considering in war cows and provinces would be chained on both sides.
When FS warred pandas and gained land, their leadership literally begged us not to notice and fight them after and offered land for cf. we had the chance to crush them right then and there but did not want to force them into a fight they had a 0% chance to win so we gave them a long cf extension for 10% their land (15k acres). They complained how expensive and unfair that is and they turn around and tax a kingdom 25% their acres for cf. pretty hypocritical, guess that's a lesson learned.

It looks like 10k more will be added to FS KD page. They will end roughly on 215k acres. Then they can empty pool of about 10k acres.
FS will be #1 by farming the U.
Feb1YR9 We have cancelled our ceasefire with F R E E A K S T Y L E ()!
Apr1YR9 F R E E A K S T Y L E () has proposed a formal ceasefire with our kingdom.
Summary Feb1-Apr1:
Hit for 30k, net?New month FEBYR9 show/hide
-8889 gains
New month MARYR9 show/hide
-21316 gains
New month APRYR9 show/hide
0 gains
Generally speaking, the accepted 'tax' terms of the past few ages are:
5% for under 4 weeks; 10% for 4 weeks+ -- assuming no one trains up.
Forcing training up, it's usually 20%.
It looks like the U CF'ed for 1.5 free waves, looking at the SN? Maybe 2.5, hard to tell exactly when they start/end exactly. Gotta remember it wasn't CF:acres, it was a conflict that turned that way when the cow fight was lost.
Growth over the last 48 hours:
Total: -34,649 acres / -9,317,355 nw
They were 162k at CFdrop, and are 128k now so I guess there's 4k via LL on top -- 34.5k gained.
Let's rewind a day -- if The U had declared, with troops out, down 9k acres already, at the start of March (FS troops home) -- would you be happy with an outcome that puts FS up another 20k acres over 2 days (entirely possible, given starting sizes and cow strengths), and a WW bonus on top? That's what you seem to be advocating for, and it seems like that would have been better for FS (and worse for emeriti).
If it's true that your CF runs until yr12, they'd have plenty of time to whore those chained provs back up.

First off I have no idea the facts but if the U backed out of a agreed war the penalty is always higher. So what's there too complain about?
No complaints here, just was observing how someone pleads for cf and says 10% land is a lot when they have 0% chance but then turns around and takes 25% land from a kd that had more than a 0% chance to beat them.
