WSK opened on our faeries (as expected - we knew we'd have to sacrifice them) and put meter on 14. We went to 4. At daychange they made another hit and knowing they wouldnt give a button yet, we put meter on 12 by hitting turtled undeads. They were randomming to avoid MS killing their elites. We saw a good window to take advantage of their troops out so we sent a bunch of hits, then waited if they declared. When they retalled with their humans, we sent the rest of our troops since they wouldn't declare at that point.
Result was a retalwar for another ~44 hours in which they primarily focussed on our faeries.
March 20 they declared war and their opening wave was pretty good but the rest of their chains weren't as effective as their opening.
We made optimal use of our speed and never having to anon. They didn't anon so we did end up ambushing a lot of their hits making the chains hurt a bit more.
WSK's biggest mistake was (I think) too much focus on our faeries.
