Withdrawing means exactly that, that you lost the war. That is game mechanics, you cant get away from that. You can talk all you want that you gained acres, you did this and you did that but you still lost the war its there in plain text.

I havent been able to 100% follow but is the correct summary something like?

CR v wsker round 1: ----wsk tactical withdraw planed on round 2 (any "War/post war" terms about land i dont wanna hear about)
CR----tells emeriti they wont crown but want to "beat" warseekers to avoid geting noticed/waved if round 2 takes "to long" to start up
Wskers--- get waved by Clash royal..taken to war
CR free to outgrow and stock up cash on wskers while they war
CR v wsker round 2: after warseekers current war?
CR-out of crown rase will try to secure #2 over warseekers
WSK--- if they win war v clash royal AND then beat CR from a major deficit they line up to war emeriti for crown? (or get fed on/cf and emeriti wins)
