New Developer Tool

Hi!

I wanted to announce that we have created a tool for developers. This tool has been created in particular for third-party targetfinders to operate more efficiently, without stressing the Utopia servers. As a result, we are going to be banning any targetfinders found running that scrape the Utopia kingdom pages.

The tool updates every 15 minutes (but offset from the tick, so at 5, 20, 35, and 50 minutes into the hour), and contains the following information:

Kingdom-level:
Location
Number of provinces
Kingdom name
Stance
Wars
Kingdom Land
Kingdom NW
Kingdom honor

Province-level:
Location
Land
Province name
Protection status
Race
Honor Rank (e.g. lord, baron -- not the numerical value)
Networth

We will only deny access if you are banned for play violations or past activities. We look forward to hearing what kinds of resources players will make from this data -- I'm particularly excited to hear about what potential tools other than targetfinders might come from access to this information!

If you have thoughts about additional resources you'd like us to provide you, feel free to reach out as well. We are working on providing additional information to extension developers to enable easier aggregation of province data.

Banning has already begun.

Anyone tracking activity (online status) will be banned because that information is not available in the information dump, therefore to get it the provider would be scraping the kingdom pages which is a prohibited activity.

We believe that access to the log-in habits of provinces being readily available for anyone on the entire server is not within the spirit of the game and should not be available.

It's a JSON response. The idea was for those interested in building tools to use, as you will certainly need to parse it for realistic usability.

What if the online indicator (*) were applied to intel (SoT maybe?)...
This way it would be taken off of the general KD page and applied to the KD specific (espionage) page.

This would take away scraping (from what I understand of it) would it not?

As for Intra KD intel/knowledge/cooperation (whatever reason for wanting to know your own KD online status) this could be implemeted on a self KD espionage page could it not?

The Munk tool will no longer show activity stats in the very near future. We believe that having access to the log in habits of provinces readily available for the entire server is not within the spirit of the game and should not be available.

so activity tracking won't be readily avail to everyone anymore. something that everyone has equal access to is unfair? it will only be avail to a few? Is that what you are saying? how does that make things fair?

If someone leaked the login and passwords of everyone on the server and sent a PM to all provinces with this information would you also think that to be fair?

I'm pretty sure they're saying that login information will no longer be able to be tracked any more, so no one will have access to it.

Could it be made available to monarchs for your own KD only? We already have the inactive indicator, but a more detailed description of activity would be sweet, if possible. I check the KD page as much as possible, but from time to time I sleep
