The problem ultimately is that no one has a coherent ideology outside of neoliberalism to present, save for one - the socialists. For a great many reasons, the socialists will never get anywhere, the ruling elite of America will resort to violence to make sure that doesn't happen. Neoliberalism cannot tolerate dissent, and it will only get worse.

IMO socalled neoliberalism isn't a coherent ideology, it is conservative dogma. As for socialists never getting anywhere I agree wholeheartedly. It's not the violence that's the problem. Communism just doesn't work, because it is as inconsistent and inconsequential as conservative dogma. Any socalled ideology that claims to be able to make an utopia, makes a dystopia in reality and is a dogma in reality!

Ted Cruz is same as it ever was republican. Big Tax Breaks for Billionaires. They are one trick ponies. As a "born again" Christian Cruz wants to lead the world to Armageddon to pave the way for Jesus to return. Watch his dad's youtube sermons.

H. Bush 41 raised taxes to pay for 1st Iraq war and lost his job. Best President in 25 years. Dollar Bill Clinton raised taxes more on the rich and balanced the budget for first time since FDR. Even had a budget surplus. Second best president in 25 years.

George W cut taxes on the wealthiest Americans and cut Government jobs to counter that revenue loss. Government jobs? School teachers, repairmen, staff, and administrators jobs gone, massive Federal aid to local school districts dried up. First Responders Police, Corrections, Firemen, EMS gone, Federal aid to these most important civil servants cut severely. Look where the lesser training has taken us. Scared understaffed cops shooting first. Infrastructure, Power Grid, Highways and Bridges, National Parks, Municipal water systems all in decay. Also the support and sales staff to supply the people with these government jobs dwindled. Fewer people buying cars, houses, appliances. Fewer people able to afford lawn care, plumbers, painters. This led to the housing bubble, insurance, automobile, and bank crashes. The 17 trillion dollars tax payers had to bailout using the Fed.

So the elite get richer and white lower middle class Americans are in the dog house. Inequality of income. These white lower middle class "White Trash" are the largest supporters of Trump. They are less educated and angry. Why the anger? They no longer have their protected status. They are now in the same boat with their Negro and Mexican neighbors. White Trash is what built America at the start. The King of England rounded up vagrants, thieves, criminals, whores, the dregs of Britain and said go to America or to prison. Yes slaves were added but that was later. So White Trash Americans have lost their status and that's what "Make America Great Again" aims for. These White Trash want a wall to keep out Mexicans, and deport those here. White Trash want no more Muslims. Its anger directed at any group that's not them.

Fox noise is responsible for all this. All they preach is hate the Negro president. Hate Hillary. hate hate hate. AND Tax Breaks for Billionaires. I am a social democrat. I want socialized medical care. I can not pay my huge medical bills. No where else is Health a for profit institution. This propaganda from Fox is little different from that Hitler used to enslave Europe.

BTW nothing wrong with sociodemocracy. It beats the hell out of democratic socialists any day. And I wish they were just that socio democrats. Most sociodemocratic parties in Europe are anything but sociodemocratic. They're neither social nor democratic.

I think that's the biggest problem with media tycoons. It's not that they direct hate, its that they undermine our democratic values, our equality and our liberties.
