Greetings,
Maybe this has been suggested before, not sure, don't feel like searching currently.
Anyway, could we get a spell similar to how lightning strike and fools gold works that targets food specifically?

Isn't gluttony, drought and Rob the grainaries good enough? Already pretty easy to starve a province.
i think what you are looking for is Vermin, its not instant, but thats what robbing is for
Vermin as a DoT could work. I was thinking more like a fireball for strictly food.
As for the robbery remark; we are able to rob and destroy both gold and runes currently, but only instant rob food or lower food production via Drought. Why not have all three?
I think its because Starvation is pretty potent once you get all the 'DoT' spells onto someone's food production...
Pretty comparable to overpopulation over 115%If a province has zero food, it will enter into a state of starvation. While a province is starving, its population (peasants, military units and thieves) will die off at a rate proportional to the food deficit (this also includes armies away from home). Wizards are not affected. This rate is capped at 5% and will continue until the province has a value for food greater than 0.
The Vermin spell shouldn't have been removed.
If too strong, they should've responded by making available counter moves to get food in a hurry.
I mean someone in that guys kingdom should be able to do it and get some food for aid.
Create Food: this spell creates food. Yep.
Green thumb: Your farms make +117% (use difficult numbers) food.
When the spell expires, your farmlands become razed empty acres.
Stacks with Fertile lands.
Desperate forage (thief action): Your thieves, soldiers and townsfolk forage the woods for some food.
Only available if food=0 and you just lost people to starvation.
jobs filled = zero for next tick (you won't make any normal income)
