The point of downloading videos via torrent is to gain free access to awesome shows that otherwise would require cable t.v. subscriptions. I'm watching Game of Thrones as I type this in, which is a show that anyone viewing it legally would have to pay for, but I did not.
At some point, the MPAA will be powerless to stop a spread of information that is so simple, fast, and easy. Maybe, in a world where access cannot be controlled, prices cannot be kept at unreasonably high levels.
Not as long as the US remains a huge market and the **AA's can buy whatever laws they want by legally bribing(campaign contributions) politicians.
