The wiki has always been and always will be a terrible and retarded idea as an official information source. We need an accurate guide edited by only devs/mods like we used to have. The wiki is fine for us to add our research into mechanics, but as a guide for nubs it is completely unacceptable.

so choose a reliable player or 5 and have them make a guide. go over it once or twice to make sure it's accurate. after that, you're mostly changing numbers.

They did that with Ezzerland and Toadi. When they left their guide left with them.

Yay for learning from past mistakes =]

Their guide was actually a guide. It guided you through the information. If you didn't know what you were looking at, it told you. You didn't need to know what to find.

The wiki doesn't guide you at all. It says "Ok, here's everything. Have fun."

Their guide was linked in the same way as the current wiki though - every wiki page linked ingame is the same as what was linked ingame from before. What we miss in the wiki is a navigation pane inside it (ignoring the one ingame obviously).

if someone awesome at structure wants tohelp with the wiki that would be cool, i have a lot on my plate at them moment.

No no no. Ezzerland and Toadi's guide had a beginner's and advanced players sections. The wiki has them blended into one.

I don't see why we don't just use Mehul's old format. The only real complaint was that it was inaccurate, so we make it accurate. Keep the wiki as a reference for the advanced mechanics.

i wouldnt have an issue with that tbh - i still think a proper tutorial + wiki is better though
