I think people hated Abs cause they were good and solid, structured and organised. Everything a Cheese alliance was not.

I personally disliked them for their powerplay at times, the same reasons I disliked some other kingdoms who wheren't part of Abs.
The majority of the Abs kingdoms wheren't special in terms of skill, but the collective made them strong. Getting vultured was annoying and it happened all the time.
