Haha well, fair enough, but I think "team player" T/Ms can be good in the ghetto, where the "hybrids" are usually poorly run (2 WPA != A/M).

TMs in ghettos not only don't know how to run a TM, but they aren't NEARLY as active as they should be. They're just wasting space.
^ I said "team player", should have added "good" or at least "decent". There are good players in the ghetto. Not great, not "top", but good enough for their level.
ignore palem, he thinks mindless sheeps in top KDs that are told what to do are the only ones who no how to play the game
It doesn't matter how good 'top' T/M's are - 95% of the all T/M's out there are awful, and actually a handicap.
When I ran on the low-tier like five years ago, I remember my queen plotting wars around the fact that our opponent's T/M's didn't count for the match-up.
Say we had 23 players, they had 22, but 4 of their players were T/M's, so she based her plans as if they only were 18 players total.
What's so lovely about this is that it really works. I do it to this day.
well if you really feel your KD is weak with ops, id develop a few t/m's from within your own core. The guys would be team players who care about what is going on and dont give a rats ass about honor. Otherwise, guys that come in thumping their chests as t/m's are bound to screw over the KD
When I feel my team is weak with ops and spells, I go over all the usual suspects, and make them run real hybrids.
Attacking is too powerful an ability to sacrifice for added ops and spells.
If it wasn't, I'd have no problem with T/M's - as long as they did their job.
I completely agree that attacking is more powerful than ops. I think that should change to accommodate more styles of play. I find it hard to believe that if T/M became slightly more powerful and therefore much more useful, everyone would play T/M...because it would then become useful since, as mentioned, a T/M can't fight a T/M (assuming they're both equally matched).
And -- We've just had different experiences then. I think a good T/M can be of great assistance if your hybrids are not up to par. Which is the case in many low-tier kingdoms.
gone are the Faeries, gone are the days of the real scary t/m, bah, attacking ftw nowaday
I played T/M last age and never again. Imo they are useful only if they all concentrate on one target and move on when first one is in ruins.
Someone with 4+ raw in either T or M, and 2+ in the other, complete with a fully functional, and effective, army.
Does that include a fully functional economy?
Yepp, but they tend to be fragile.
It depends on the race and personality used.
