Forts are really a case to case issue. Some people would rather forgo the defense boost, and have GS to limit losses. In the case of a war, forts are best used if they can help you become unbreakable. There is a lot of talk on these forums about 'maximizing' forts/TGs for the best possible numbers, but in reality it isn't practical, since once the hits start coming, the province is in flux and those numbers are skewed.
Personally, I haven't used Forts in a long time.
Its the feeling of helping someone that actually listens to you :P
I'm skipping the forts, trusting in offence to be the best defence!
My monarch is also planning to making us fortified, to help all the 500 acres provs that played all age explore up a bit. So I'm gonna make a short elite pump collecting gold from slightly higher than usual banks and rob the vaults (just reached 3.5 raw tpa), and 10% arms. When we leave fortified, this will be my build:
1. Farms: 64 (8%)
2. Banks: 80 (10%)
3. Training Grounds: 120 (15%)
4. Barracks: 80 (10%)
5. Hospitals: 80 (10%)
6. Guilds: 112 (14%)
7. Towers: 48 (6%)
8. Thieves' Dens: 144 (18%)
9. Stables: 64 (8%)
10. Dungeons: 8 (1%)
Total Land: 800 Acres (100% built)
18% TD's are to motivate my choice of playing rogue, and I feel like I still maintain a pretty nice offensive ability. Assuming 27 ppa(16.5 military/acre), I'll divide it like this:
6.5 def spec
5.5 elite
3.5 thief
1 wizard
(if/when I manage to reach 28 ppa, it will be shared epa/tpa giving me 6 epa 4 tpa)
If I get hit excessively, I'll bring dspec/acer up to 7.

that build looks fine to me, only suggestion id have is that maybe 6.5 d spec an acre is a little high at your size. I'd run 5 or 6
Tell him to stay in Normal stance, and have these province explore a bit, acres are so cheap on low sizes it is pointless to explore. It is also better for a Kingdom morale to do stuff instead of sitting bored behind Fortified.Quote:

If it helps, I like the rax( regardless of what I thought initially), the forts are useless, and look at your kd. you probably will run much higher D then your undead kd mates; don't worry about making it unbreakable, you might already be unsavory as a target. Lastly. zomg, hospitals. Its been a long war, but luckily I have most of my elites left because of these. You can always just turtle after a good gain. I found out. Which is epic funny to me. lol at these guys rocking 3.5 times offense over defense, I love/hate undead.

hmmmm... Realest, what % of dungeons should my elf use?
Im in Fortified stance right now but besides that is this an avg. human good/bad? ive never compared to anyone else or asked before. My province has always been capable of doing everything i need it to. i know my TPA is wee bit low but im not in a super kingdom where i have to worry about enemies having a bunch of T/Ming power to get through.

well, crap personality to start with... but guess we aint got much choice with that...
1) opa is pretty decent, dpa is a tad high, would swap 1 defspec/acre for an extra epa
2) get better science, only have about 10% pop sci, and your BE is horrible... need to fix that up =)
also, think you need to raise your pay rate ;)
get tpa to 2-2.5, it can make all the difference =)
im in fortified though thats why my def seems high. cleric has help me a lot though as i attack all the the time and get attacked all the time saves quite a lot of troops :)
also for sci yes its crap :P
