Just for current reference, was '#1 go timber' an attempt to just get yourself out of range of them for the rest of the age? I mean, since you weren't going to have any huge advantages over them or be able to power play them into wars or deals you wanted, might as well avoid any embarrassing war losses by getting farmed early, amirite?
You can even arrogantly claim you were going to beat them from 70% size, and then have mysterious multis bouncewave one of your provinces and somehow claim that the sole reason you lost the conflict was because of that, and nothing to do with being in a completely vulnerable position that you were inevitably going to lose.
The notion that the multis were a product of floggers is WAY more likely than that they were a product of Havoc's. Havoc had the clear advantage and everything to lose reputation wise, Flogger needs some excuse to save his ego and has nothing to lose.
