First tactical misplay goes to Pulse, we'll see what happens from here

did we not prove to you that hostile acres meant nothing?
The bugged wave was not tactically much of an advantage; we were overpopping peasants at 7% rate until army returns regardless, at which point we would have been underpopped either way. its not like the extra was putting us on desertion overpops or that we can't deal with desertion overpops easily.
ya I'm sure EQ had a huge advantage over us when we topfed vultured them in whatever age that was. wow they sure did make life hard for us with all those large underpumped provinces. :SQuote:
No one would ever turn down an advantage in size
there are 18 million examples of smaller more pumped kingdoms farming the opposite.
With evenly matched kds on even pump time and identical setups? Doesn't matter anyway, we lost the war because you guys put yourselves in the best position to win and did what you needed to do to win, and we didn't. There is no denying reality, and that's you with a war win over us regardless of circumstances. I knew from day 1 when Mercy and Pulse were getting our respective kingdoms together that the age would be won by one of us, I'm just glad its turned out as it should and I get to war a kingdom I actually like (even though you have Godly) for something that matters.
In what way is pump time a meaningful factor when it is already established that one kingdom has out-pumped the other, it doesn't matter how long it took to do it.
The virtually identical set ups serve only to eliminate more variables, I don't know why you continue down this line of reasoning, its not logically sound.
...just you wait until I get to a keyboard :P
Are you gonna bark all day, little doggie, or are you gonna bite?
Not trying to sound too hard on you, but you must not have been paying attention or noticed our strategy in that hostile with you. Size isn't good in war unless you can make unbreakables, and dwarves don't make unbreakables. In our first fight with you we essentially donated you acres in hostile to reduce our size so we could win the war, by the time we declared we were topfeeding.
I think the first tactical misplay goes to Mercy. Whats the point of doing a 135% BE Homeswap and then sitting for 24 hours and letting both our BE's end identically. We both have more than enough GC to wait out the fortified tick. Press advantages when you have them, don't sacrifice advantages to save a few hundred acres on a few hits into fortified, and I'd rather have 1,000 peasants than 10,000 peasants by the time the fight came around, so homes for pop space makes little sense.
so it's stare contest?
Dont think they will war this age.
this probably the best war i have been in
