nive: Sometimes one does not want to disclose his kingdom because:
1. My posts don't have anything to do with my kingdom and I don't want my monarch having to deal with poor hurt souls that want vengeance because they didn't like what I said on the public forum.
2. Whether I play in a ghetto or in a top 10 kd it really doesn't change the validity of my posts. Logical arguments remain the same no matter who says them. That and where you play doesn't say much anymore with not-so-great players playing in top kingdoms purely because they are active and retired veterans residing in ghetto's. Case-in-point: All the Sonata trollfags are probably better players than each one of us here but their post behaviour hardly reflects that.
And where do you get that I am angry? I have a huge smile on my face every time you reply. It's not my fault that tufkuki thought that my post made sense and chose to reply on it. I have no clue who or where he is.
What E_Boko did is what any sane kingdom does. No in-game CF offer means a hostile button and you don't want to move on with a kingdom having a button on you to prevent you from being jumped out of war. It is not bullying it is protecting your own kingdom. I am sure DDodge is smart enough to take note. He made mistakes but in my opinion his lead and your kingdom will be alright if you stay out of silly ventures like this. TheImmortals is also right that I am a bit harsh but I am just a devious person.
Both teams played hard, god bless.
This sounds so similar to how Ddodge justified his breaking of the CF - that it is "what any sane kingdom does". The breakdown in negotiation - if I remember correctly - was at the point E Boko wanted a concession (a free wave?), and Ddodge was unwilling to concede that. They back and forthed quite a bit over that before it went to war. It's debatable who is fair or not, stupid or not. But just as I came down on SH's side for the CF issue - I'm on Myrm's side here.
For too many players - too many things (arrogance, chauvinism, material advantage) come before being honourable (or rather, fair, if honourable is too slippery a term) and sportsmanlike. Maybe I'm just naive - I'm pretty disillusioned with how people behave at the top in real life too. Too few good people in power, in government, in commercial entities. But I also believe we are all agents and our words and actions have power - ergo - I spend time speaking up in a public forum.
Situation is entirely different.
Myrmidons vs Stronghold: By accepting the CF the conflict was over. By breaking it they engaged in another conflict. Myrmodins are the active player in this conflict.
Myrmidons vs Icey: There was never a CF sent from Myrmidons thus it is an active conflict. Icey even sent a CF that was withdrawn due to continuation of hostile activities. Myrmidons are again active player in this conflict.
And CF's being accepted by kingdoms that wave you - I came to find out that most are pretty much like Santa and kids. Good kingdoms (ones that don't retal en-masse) get their CF accepted quickly. Bad kingdoms get waved again. Free wave is acceptable consequence for grabbing back + MS blanket.
lol all i read was I am a coward who wants to keep trolling anonymously. and tufkuki is the last person you want thinking your post makes sense.
the reason you are not making logical arguments is because you have no idea what happened between us and SH, and you have no idea what happened between us and icey. the funny thing is the kingdoms involved in all this are pretty cool with each other and there really isn't too much drama now.
and finally merry christmas and happy holidays folks, drosta santa is soo gonna give you a bag of coal you naughty naughty boy.
The human mind wants to see actors and recipients of actions - it's encoded into morphosyntactic verb systems very richly (e.g. nominative-accusative case marking, word order, etc). But it's really interactions here - right? Not just one active party. One could easily say as well - Icey is the active party - they initiated offence, offered a CF for perhaps a grand total of 2 minutes before retracting it to make themselves look good, took continuous action to raze and stomp a smaller opponent into the ground. (I do realise this is a biased view - I say this to prove a point.)
My opinion is it's probably not productive to use the terms active, reactive, passive, in this discussion. Myrm and Icey and SH are all actors with free wills - they can all be responsible for their actions.
Your second paragraph talks about the acceptability of things. This "norm" - I suppose it arises from what the average player base accepts as normal. It was acceptable to own slaves in the past. It is acceptable today to exploit cheap workers in 3rd world nations. It is acceptable too to pollute the environment and consume resources derived from trashing the environment today. But these norms are changing - cultures are changing.
My point is: norms, i.e. what is acceptable, are often being negotiated and hammered out. It's not as black and white as Santa giving gifts to children. And I am speaking up for the kind of norms I would like to see in my community.
Better a coward and smart than being headstrong but being farmed.
Ive heard people being called trolls and stuff but Nive arent you doing the same as well?
Drosta if you were smart you would have stopped posting here a while ago.
As far as I am concerned we came out ahead in this war, we land dropped like we wanted to, got a crap ton of science out of it, and were able to get some excitement out of this game.
And boko you play a weak connect 4, remember when I beat you in the first 5 moves =P
Maybe, sometimes when talking to trolls you can't help but sink to their level. Want to give me examples of my trolling behaviour though.
Ill get back with you tomorrow on that one. :P Reading this whole thread for exact words will take a while. I have found at least with certain trolls, the one thing they hate is being ignored. If you ignore them maybe they will go away.
I havent played connect 4 in a long time.lol
As long as you keep biting I'll keep posting, nive.
I suppose that is going to be the new excuse of losing wars.
"We got the landdrop we wanted and we even got 2k honour and a few books out of it. We won this war!"
It is even more sadder than the "tactical withdraw" fad that was around in the Alliance Rankings days.
Oh and nive. When you learn about responsibility you learn to be a little bit more careful how you post. Back when I was not a father and a husband I used to have my picture up and would PM my home address to whoever wanted to beat me up with a club. Now that I am not only responsible for myself anymore I won't indulge myself in that anymore. With that I have learned the same responsibility for my kingdom mates. They don't need to suffer the consequences of what I say. In some people's eyes cowardly but I would consider it responsible.
Drosta you are a father? If you are then I truly hope you are indeed an internet troll and do not act like this in real life, for your child's sake. Also terrible analogy and trust me I don't plan to waste my time with outside of these forums.
In terms of the war all we really care about it having a good time and we accomplished that. We chained down 8 provinces, they chained down 8 provinces. We had the T/M advantage the whole war as well, unfortunately the war was basically 21v25 and being down 4 to start made it very difficult.
Also I am gonna be biting all day so prepare to spend the rest of your life responding to me. You are so lucky that someone so awesome like myself is giving you the time of day, and you should know I enjoy responding to losers like yourself so keep going.
Yeah that's true, I'll just start ignoring Drosta from now on the guy if he was a brave troll I would keep going but a cowardly one is no fun.
lol funny , when did nive started trying to talk like an adult. To me you're just a like a puppy , biting and barking whatever things people throw at you . Sounds like a SDS .
Here bite this :D
