You see what you are missing is that making people wait a bit while you deal with real life/more important things is far worse than spending god knows how many days razing into a conflict to punish one person who retaliated against you for something that you started and brought on yourself.

All I can submit is the record which shows, they hit me, I wrote a nasty gram, they razed me, I defected out of my kingdom and razed them back. They RK'd me, I razed into their war somwhere north of 40 times. I can't be bothered to count how many razes I took but this is definitely more than what I gave by at least a few hundred. Now they want a bare CF or a clean war to call it "even". It is preposterous by any measure. What is good for the game? What is good for the game at this point is for me to spend the next however many ages it takes to drive these people out of the game. So they will continue to raze me the rest of this age, and that is fine, they should know that their days of playing utopia as a game are over and will never come again. They brought it on themselves and indeed, I can spend forever just razing them because I think its funny.
I agree this forum thread is kind of silly though. No reason for the rest of the community to read it unless they like drama, in which case, this is a refreshing but of soap opera for them to procrastinate with.

In this one case DD may have acted wrong or maybe not, but they have been around for a very long time and as far as I know there haven't been all too many complaints. Everyone that has played this game for a while has gotten into a long no end in sight conflict but all of us eventually ended it. No one says you have to like each other. Agree to disagree and move on, this conflict cannot be won, both parties already lost.
There is nothing cool or honorable about making a kingdom disband. ever. even if it were the most cheating, awful, mean kingdom.
There is nothing cool or honorable about continuously razing someone or a whole kingdom. If you didn't get your point across the first time you razed, continuing to do so is a waste of time.
There is nothing cool or honorable about ruining the fun of 40 people because 2 hotheads can't get along.
And last but not least there is nothing cool or honorable about stirring the pot, especially when you aren't part of the conflict in the first place.
DD claims to have a fierce reputation. Not something you earn without stepping on toes. The fact they are proud former members of HaJ reinforces the theory that they have a history of being in-game cancer. HaJ frequently and for most of its existence gangbanged solo kingdoms for arbitrary reasons or merely to powerplay for the benefit of their members.
And both sides have not already "lost" this. There is no condition under which this can end in a "loss" for us. How is that not yet clear to you and DD and whoever else is ignorant of the underlying fabric of the situation. Half of us are in this KD because we don't want to play. Half are in it because they're too inactive to play.
Wasting an age or ages or being razed is not a loss for any of us. And even if some rotate out next age I guarantee that whoever joins is going to be happy and willing to continue where we leave off.
And yes, most really are as inactive or even more inactive then we claim. I'm probably the most active person atm but the rest are usually + or on the verge of +.
Sheister is entirely correct in his assessment that DD, or at least their leadership, should be made to quit. And I'm really glad I get to disband yet another ghetto. Their conduct during this affair has been abysmal. From their failure to communicate initially, to their decision to double hostile us, to their decision to gb us, to their show boating and arrogance, to their utter failure to conduct any meaningful diplomacy (always ruin it or reneg after), to their constant lies, to the depravity of their insults.
It's been an experience learning of their existence, but it'll be pretty mundane making them quit.
cant we all just get along? this used to be such a most wonderful game. i really look forward to logging in every day and see what exciting things are going on in utopia today. can we all not be men and women and professionals here? please dont ruin the game for everyone else. shake hands and move on. in all my 65 ages i never witnessed such bad sportsmanship. there is not a game played in the world where someone dose not get up set or frustrated over such a small thing. sportsmanship, honor, loyalty, professionalism all come from within the human heart. it is time to put this to rest. lets get back to playing utopia. all kingdoms and players involved can take a time out for one age and think about it, the rest of us want to keep trying for the crown. dont let the game rule your life, let it go. uall just let it go...

Small kingdoms of vets and or those able to withstand the consequences should be making life 100% miserable for players and kingdoms who choose to bully. As soon as those bullies stop the bullying they should then be forgiven... if they choose to start the bullying up again they should be made miserable again. The community needs to foster an a atmosphere of respect. It is disrespectful for a prov or a kingdom to hit a small kingdom that has no chance to take it to anything remotely close to a fair war; the bully kingsoms expect them to just suck it up. I am reading here (in this thread and in other places) "they could of chose to just accept the hit on them and move on" (that is what the relatively huge or way bigger kingdom has said or is saying to the relatively small and almost tiny kingdom and or the outright very tiny kingdom -- and that is disrespectful).
I agree and I think we can do this with a cheery disposition. Bullying comes naturally, even with intended respect. My enjoyment comes from the fight that ensues. Many see the game as natural order of the stronger dominating the weak. My endeavor is to play against this idiom. I've faced honorable competition that came from the dominant position. It's not what I'd call bullying. Simply, it is rare for them to encounter resistance based in enthusiasm rather than anger and fear. Culturally, neither of these kingdoms were interested in winning wars or crowns. They feed on negative energy and forum posts. They're both known for cheating, not as a means of being successful but as a means of causing misery for those who subscribe to the more typical goals of the game. In fact, if you were to go into their private channels at the time you wouldn't even recognize them as kingdoms. Their players flamed and maimed one another just as they did the rest of the community. They liked it that way.
In addition to these two, you also have Korp and Sheister. The keystone kingdom in Korp's resume was lead by a self-proclaimed terrorist so I'm not surprised you don't receive love from him. Sheister is probably the only person there who can remotely relate to your way of thinking/playing since his background is more traditional. That's probably why he's the only player who has feigned a heart-to-heart conversation with DD.
There is no avenue open to you guys in DD to resolve this except through extortion or self-destruction. Let's get back to talking about those 5k acres.
Kds now jump hostiles for free land,hit tagged kds who are about to war ( yes alot abuse that which causes alot of it ) easy to get a CE to see if its legit. Years ago that brought quick responses from allied kingdoms.It does now to a extent.Now tho with the game as small as it is there isnt the type of reaction there used to be.
The fear of screwing over other kingdoms isnt like it used to be.This covers kingdoms small and large.I have more issue with smaller kingdoms mostly doing stuff than the top 10.Most of them it takes a simple message and they move on. Not all of them as a few there still cant grasp the full idea of respect goes both ways.
