But I'd assume that these 4/4 WW KDs could be larger and still have 4 wins. Are you saying you dont think that they could grow and take on abs and try to tripple crown?
All faeries by it's very nature can't compete. I created TFC because I wanted to have fun in the game. TFC has been fun and very challenging, but it most likely won't be the last kd I play in. We do the absolute best we can. Are polar bears doing the best they can? No. Elit is slumming it.Quote:

While I certainly agree with some of Korp's points here, at least TFC manages 25 provs and gets some size on them. They don't intentionally stay small, which is the biggest issue really. I don't mind what Palem does, at least he's involved.
Palem - There is your answer, people do things cause they want to have fun like you do. On a sidenote i think both Secrets and Warcry crowned, well i know for sure Warcry did :P

Warcry crowned during the AWar age when everyone else who could crown was occupied. Secrets never crowned, just a few top 5 finishes.Quote:

Korp, you have not the foggiest clue (I suspect) about what it would take to try to build a KD from scratch these days because everyone is too nub for you to spend your time training them and you are unlikely (from what I have read) to be interested in spending the time on training them. (Please do not take that as an insult. I don't either and I am working with mostly rusty people who used to try to crown back in ages 20-35 and just don't want to do the time commitments)
However, please don't tell me that the timing required is not insane when so called top KD's insist that you run armies in/out and set alarms and be ready to respond to texts any time of day to hit. The reason I never even bother with any of them is I personally refuse to spend my time that way. I will hit when I get around to it. Its simple. Sometimes I get hit with armies home, and it sucks but oh well. Its a game. Winning a crown means nothing to me any more than winning a particular war means. Its nice, but ultimately it is the war itself that matters. Having it be a quality war, with minimal BS.
Now, were the wars with Mercy, BiO, Sanc, Ghetto cats, etc more fun than wars with some random ghetto? Sure they were. They were also time consuming and in some cases (for no rational reason I could understand) complicated to set up. In some cases of those wars the ego's on the other side were so repugnant that I almost did not want to even bother to log in, I just so did not want to even interact with those people. That is a condition that was unique to that culture, while I have been bored or frustrated by stubborn play or stupidity down in the lower rungs, I have never met anyone down low that I thought was simply repugnant.
I could play in and contribute to a KD trying to crown, I MIGHT even be able to effectively lead in one (I am sure you doubt that, and its not meant to be a point of debate here). But with the exception of very few people in those KDs I don't LIKE many of them. I don't like the culture up there. People in my KD that say they want to crown, I give them a very nice recommendation to friends in more driven KDs and I wish them well. After idling in channels and watching all the chatter around up there, very few of them choose to join and instead stay in my KD.
Few people want to deal with the bulls**t (at least few that I respect.)

Because it takes more time than it is worth to give absalom a run for their money. Why put in all that time to end up in the top 10 when you can relax, have nice mello wars in which making completely stupid mistakes are unlikely to be pivotal? Depends on the people I guess, but sure if its you and bunch of new players and you want a solid "top kingdom" it will take some time yes. But even medicore kingdoms like TFC can chart well, we did chart 6th the age I played there and they did consist mostly of new players as far as i remember.Quote:

They dont afaik, I just get the feeling you are base your opinions on how things used to be when utopia was more competive playground. Cause all you say fits so well into that, you do realize that most people that now plays in the top kingdoms have grown up, have jobs some even children and some pretty fancy jobs. Its more the kingdom than the "top climate" so to speak, ive met more bad sheeps down there than up there at least the top folllows some twisted ethically code which dont exist in the bottom levels, just take that thread where some kingdom gets razed just cause the kingdom razing thinks its "fun". But its only natural that competing against a better kingdom demands more time, ie they have plans you have tou counter etc.Quote:

I think you just lack some real insight with most of those people and just notice the loudest of them which hardly represents the majority. With that said I am all for everyone playing their own thing I just dont like view people like you have on the top since its so wrong on some points.Quote:

why does big=good (kds)? u can stay small and fight good kds too.. but ur ego tells u that u have to be big to be good. Im sure there are many TOP kds out there who prefer staying small and find theyr wars easyer instead of having 5 kds @them, 3 friends, 1 nap and 1 in war...
Thats the reason they stay small and prefer playing the game as it was designed, instead of massive growing and sitting in these forums in fortified ;)
If only 10 is the "top kds" where did the others good kd went? ghetto bashing? check 50-100 top and see how many kds have 25 players... but they prefer warring not whoring or sitting 10 days to set up a war and I appreciate that.
Those same old excuses are no longer valid. War, take the acres bonus, and move up the charts. War stronger kingdoms, it isn't a hard concept. Complaining about not having enough targets in the top and simultaneously refusing to move into the top, that's the irony of ghetto mentality. If nobody moves up, nothing will ever change.
