What is insulting to me about Obama is that he gives nothing except empty promises that his entitlement programs will not be able to fulfill. He has campaigned as if he was running against George Bush. MCCAIN IS NOT GEORGE BUSH! The legions of rebellious kids that are making up the "instant gratification nation", the drug addicts, hippies, blacks(that dont even know why they are democrat), in the democratic party dont know any better.
I am insulted because he should hold more respect for his constituents, not play on their psychology and their lack of being informed. He knows his voters are dumb and he plays up to it. Wow man. Let's put the shoe on the other foot here. Bush used cocaine and was a Drunk. Cindy McCain stole drugs from a medical charity. She used her employees' names to obtain drugs, and even enlisted some her her staff to pick up those prescriptions on her behalf. She also used the DEA numbers of multiple physicians who worked for the American Voluntary Medical Team to obtain drugs, often without the doctors' knowledge.Quote:

Either many of you guys been listening to your ol' rich uncle too much or not watching enough CNN to be educated enough to understand WHY Obama is leading in the polls...
Cast aside that McCain is predictably throwing everything & the kitchen sink at Obama to win this election, the fact that the only character that has suffered in this election has shown to be McCain's and Palin's by their own doing. I'll give John McCain credit because he seems like the man to take responsibility for his own actions. His character is strong BUT that does not overshadow the fact he has been making bad choices as of late no matter how much you Republicans wish it otherwise. I will honor his life-long commitment and service and i don't think he should give up his Senate seat, though at this current time we can no longer trust in a Conservative that is expected to uphold the policies of the last 8 years for another 4 more.
President Bill Clinton walked out of office with a SURPLUS of tax money and half of what the National Deficit is now...and the greedy Republicans spent it on crap and a half along with 2 currently on going wars. No, none of that money was spent to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina (or Hurricane Ike for that matter because we are broke). Yet Democrats are the BIG SPENDERS and EVIL PEOPLE that will raise taxes?
McCain wants to call Obama a SOCIALIST...and if anyone else in this forum believes that to be true then you must be the dumbest person in your Economics class (given that everyone has been through an Economics class...and if not STFU already and stop posting here). A real socialist party usually NATIONALIZED banks (which means the government becomes the "bank") aside from other radical policies that a country must follow (which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE with our Democratically slow process of Partisan Legislation).
BTW If anyone thought that the Government should have gotten stakes in the banks when the $700 Billion Dollar Bail-Out Plan was passed (LIKE BOTH CANDIDATES DID)..then call BOTH CANDIDATES SOCIALISTS and consider yourself an idiot for doing so. At least you will be consistent in your claims...
For those who are also dropouts in US History class, there were 2 Presidents who faced similar economic and social problems in their time that looked to MORE REGULATION to get us out of the problems they were in...and without them USA would NOT EXIST TODAY. Teddy Roosevelt (26th President-Republican) fought corruption of Big Industry by establishing ANTI-TRUST LAWS which restricts any company to buy their way into American Politics, which was HUGE at the time because companies were lining the pockets of politicians to get everything they wanted (funny how we call it "Lobbying" now?). Don't forget that T.R. also took over LAND and NATIONALIZED THEM to become NATIONAL PARKS. The other President who preferred MORE REGULATION in times of crisis was Franklin D. Roosevelt (32th President-Democrat) who got us OUT OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION by fiercely regulating banks and even BACKING THEM UP with a little something we call "FDIC." For you self-declared smarty-pants, you should know that this program guarantee that at least $100,000 of your money is FEDERALLY INSURED at ALL TIMES. Without that, there would be NO BANKS right now. It seems even John McCain has forgotten a bit of his US history as well...
Out of all the mistakes John McCain has made, his choice in his VP has been the crushing blow. Instead of picking someone with more experience and understanding of the issues that you NAYSAYERS say you want to hear more of, he picked a know-nothing, spunky chick from NOWHERE that looks good in a dress to try and WOE the American public to believe that McCain IS FRESH and connected to the youth. However right now the majority of USA has had enough time to realize that the Republican ticket has always been about PRESENTATION. I suppose Palin's abuse of Governor's power to fire his ex-Brother-In-Law earlier this year from the State Police in Alaska (for no other legitimate reason other than to get vengeance for her sister's divorce) is not bad enough character to disqualify her from becoming Vice-President...i mean thats what we all want right? Someone who knows how to use their powers for the good & the bad? Sounds like something Bush would do/did do to me...
The Republicans have had the majority of Congress AND the Presidency for most of the last 8 years...and thanks to their influence they have been able to put USA in a hole that they have been unable to get us out of...and they expect us to elect another Conservative to fix the problem? Specifically a Republican that HAS VOTED for 90% of Bush's policies in the last 8 years? Consider the fact that all of Bush's policies have been catered to the Republicans ideals, which is supposedly "LESS GOVERNMENT" in the broadest term to say the least yet it means private sector was supposedly the big winner...but the only big winners were BIG OIL COMPANIES & CEOs of publicly funded companies in the stock market and NOT normal people like "Joe the Plumber"...hell that guy should be thanking McCain and his Conservative friends for putting him in this spot to begin with :P It just seams no one wants to follow the paper trails since they are scared to see what the truth is...failure.
Above all, I'm ashamed to see so MANY of you believing in such negative, even racist, remarks about Senator Barack Obama. He has run a clean campaign, and to hear that ANYONE RUNNING FOR OFFICE is considered a terrorist or socialist because of his race or beliefs is truly un-American in my eyes.
