The only ****play I see is the BS agreement between Rage and the Alphabet Contingent after the fact. PewPew is more than welcome to do whatever they like with the land they worked for..

Last age AMA had a really rewarding war with Malevolence moving them to no1 position, now when someone else gets really lucky in getting the right war it is ok to threaten them with double hostile? Mansoor did the right thing to steal the crown for our kd and quit :).

I finally read most of the opening thread. To be honest I simply see a solution where no problem exists. The diplomacy is an impressive display of etiquette and that's nice to see. This is a very sophisticated way to play house. I have no dog in the fight, but I feel like the guy who sees his old stoner friends still doing the same after years of clarity.

Today the game is demoralizing to any kd that competes it's way to the top, which baisicly means that no "new" and active or skillfull kds can match up later in the set, because they are so behind in both acres and sience.
This makes building new kingdoms and attracting new players hard because the succes takes so long time to achieve sucess.

You may dislike us, I have nothing against that, but at least try to think outside of the box, and look at the bigger picture of all the play, rather than only focusing on who is to blaim and who is not.

I can certainly agree that the game should be changed so that it's possible to grow into the top later in the age by warring and still have a fighting chance, change honor to make this possible since it's what ww kd's tends to gather up but whoring kingdoms does not. On the topic of cf's tho I disagree with you, they are what they are because both sides signing them typically see them as beneficial(or one side is in a position where it can't decline them), the game has always been about diplomacy and politics, this is but one aspect of that.

The difference is obvious, you intentionally influence the "race" which the kingdoms in the race are unlikely to take kindly to. If you got cornered and forced to farm out that's "good play" by the cornering kingdom and something that is part of the race. A kingdom farming out to a certain kingdom to spite others is something else entirely.

That depends on your definition of "new" kingdoms, recruit some old top kingdom player who knows at least part of how the game is played at the top and probably has a few contacts or at least knows who to talk to, that will immensely help your wuest but yes it's gonna be several ages before you can become an "equal" competitor, simply because top kingdom play is very different from ghettobashing, there is a lot more aspects of the game to consider more than just how active you can be in a limited 48h window once every week(or maybe more/less depending on your kingdom).

I dislike PewPew because of the methods you use such as the stunt you pulled last age, it should be readily apparent to any thinking individual that what you planned to do would be "abusing the quirks of the game in a manner obviously not intended", your latest ploy has significantly impacted the game for the runners up in the "race" because the climate is now significantly more hostile for them and there is less targets than there might otherwise be for them. You obviously hate AMA for somewhat understandable reasons(altho I think you're the ones that started the downward spiral last age) and I doubt you had any thought of how your ploy would affect everybody else in the "race".
I sort of wonder how furious you would have been if your move had ended with AMA farming Rage and winning the crown because that farmout made them unassailable.

Someone else didn't get "really lucky" thats the whole issue, Malevolence tried to fight AMA and failed, thats not what happened here, PewPew simply decided to give away their acres in order to spite a certain somebody, there is no competition whatsoever involved in that. If Rage had fought and farmed PewPew while Pew had been trying their hardest to fight back then that's one thing, Rage would have fairly earned those acres, but that's obviously not what happened, if Pew wanted to stop competing they could just have done what they did a few ages ago and Reset all their provinces, or they could have intra-razed down their acres and gone ghetto bashing for the remainder of the age.

Who are you to decide what acres are "earned" the right way? Obviously we did get really lucky if one of our sworn enemies decided one Age that they hate our enemies more than they hate us and instead decide to give us massive amounts of acres, if that is not luck I dont know what is. Pew Pew can decide to do with their acres whatever they want, that's the point you and your little group of bullies is too dense to see. RBL got trapped in a BS war through no fault of its own, while also losing acres earlier in Age due to Pew Pew jumping them, they couldve taken whatever they wanted from Pew Pew and it wouldve been "fair". I'm nowhere near the top so who cares about me but surely all the problems with deal-breaking and whatever else the forums are full of just now is the result of making deals in the first place? This game is a war strategy game. I think of it as kinda a medieval game. Back in the day, countries and kings and leaders were backstabby little arseholes and did whatever they wanted to try to gain the most. I don't really see why this should be any different. I doubt the Romans gave all the tribes and countries of Europe 5-day notice before breaking their CF. Leaders would see an opportunity and take it. Reckon Genghis Khan promised not to province-kill? See an enemy is vulnerable, take your chance. Just man up and play properly. If someone gets you, get em back, or get your buddy to get em, or whatever. I think people should pretty much just do whatever they want to try and win. As long as the game rules are followed (no cross logging, no multi accounts, don't be a dickhead etc) then just whatever.

If you're against the whole CF system, fine, don't make CFs. But if you're going to make CF's, you either need to stick to your word or you leave people very little reason to trust you with anything.

I put forward an attempt to make a statement about the top needing some agreed upon standards and the backbone to enforce them, regardless of whether violators are friends or foes. People will either get tired enough of the ****play and that will happen, or it will continue to get worse until there ceases to be any game.

We aren't going to tolerate any ****play we have the power to stop going forward. I believe we've put our money where our mouth is and when we say that we play with clean ethics, we've demonstrated that we mean it. Even though BB/AMA/EJ are our opponents, it would be ethically wrong to screw them out of a fair competition. So when we step in and take action against ****play in the future, nobody will be able to say we're doing it only because it benefits us. Take a look at this thread and see people who are friends, allies and even one of the people in my kingdom who is in our leadership who are angry with this decision. Making it cost us an ally (at least for the moment ... I'm hoping that time will calm things down a bit, but we'll see). This decision clearly wasn't made for our benefit.

If you have ethical standards and you really believe in them, sometimes that obligates you to act against your own self-interest. The game has devolved into the state it is at the top right now because kds don't apply a consistent ethical standard in all cases. It's much like warring really. Sometimes you have the advantage and sometimes you don't. If you change you ethics to suit your benefit, then you have no ethics. I hope that all of the top kds will take some time to consider the past few ages and to put themselves in the shoes of the kds who got ****played and screwed and that we can find common ground and stop manipulating what 'fair' and 'right' mean.

That said, RBL has two core things which make up our ethos, and in this instance they were in conflict. We always fight hard and won't run from a fight (so you won't see us arranging to war a 3rd party because we have the disadvantage) and we play ethically. Given the very large amount of ****play these last few ages, I felt that ethics superseded the "go down fighting" mentality.

I don't want anyone to misconstrue what I said in the previous sentence so let me be very clear. Giving notice to a kd doesn't entitle you to fight them. The proper thing to do if a kd fights someone else is to simply wait and hit them afterward. I personally believe that running from fights causes more problems for the kd running, but if someone runs, that doesn't make it acceptable to ****play them.

Top kds and alliances or friendly kds to one another would do well to consider that things shift frequently and while it's easy to walk all over people when you have the power to prevent them from fighting back, the scales will eventually tip away from your favor, and people have long memories. Better for all, I think, if people would get together and wipe the slates all clean and start fresh with a commitment to play with whatever standards everyone can agree to live with. Whenever you all get tired enough of the ****play, we'll be around.

Your comparison is awful. Also to say that strategy game has no place for diplomacy, and even to evoke history as an example... Plain nonsense. History has showed us that strategy and war is all about deals. The ones that end up on the wrong side usually lose the war.

Thre is grup: CR+ED+Rage. They made his move early on age with CR give notice BB and block them so ED can jump AMA instant after 9 days war. Plan didn't work and both Kds loss his wars. If they have won situation in top will be same just different KD names.

The only reason it didnt work is because ED is an average kd and AMA a really good one. However when Rage vultures Bb, BB had no chance and when AMA vultured Rage the next age, Rage had no chance either.

First of all why are people making fun of elit's English all the time...this is just beyond stupid. News flash, English is not his first language, it's actually hard to go and learn another language especially when you are older than 13...if anything it's impressive to learn another language and have conversational proficiency rather than something to be laughed at. How many languages do you speak aside English and at what level of proficiency? Go learn to speak a language that you aren't native to and lets see how well you do. But I don't see how I would know. The legitimacy of wars affect me and Jerks because they affect the crown race. And I had no control/part in ED's most recent three wars. So if I comment negatively, it is as an outside observer who is potentially negatively affected.

The contrast I am making is to PS, who was directly involved in the decision reached (the EOA naps with rage and their ensuant drop from the crown race), yet has complained about it non stop. PS negotiated, got what he asked for, yet continues to whine about it in several threads like a petulant child who had no role in the outcome.

Hopefully you can see the difference.

And for the record Korp, can you link me to a post where I directly say that any of the wars this age was a "fake war"? Personally I believe that the legitimacy of wars is a spectrum. There is often no easy binary distinction between "fake war" and "real war," but rather a bunch of considerations must be taken into account to decide whether the conflict is legit or not.
