Ever since WW bonuses were implemented no actually needs to hit and run to win, they just win by winning the war and getting massive game generated bonuses. In this meta why would anyone who is actually WD when they can get the win and huge WW bonus. Considering every one of BBs provinces was chainable and we’ve easily taken down provinces > 200% our attacker NW it was only a matter of time until Bb was 50% our NW and farmed out but they decided to wd prior to that happening and avoid the embarsssment. Makes sense.

So losing land in war and getting farmed is winning and giving your opponents the WW is winning too according to BB. I guess being BB = always winning.

Flogger talks about hitting and running to win a crown yet how does hitting and running to finish T5 in land charts look? In this case BB doing a max gain wave and running with acres doesn’t get them a crown so that’s a moot point. The funny is we waved BB all home and gave up the disadvantage of being chained by them 2x prior to us being home had they actually declared but they chose not to declare right away, we put ourselves in a disadvantage and still won.

BB actually had an inside track to crowning for a while now, we started this age with 22 provs and did not use pool until Y5/6 while BB has been #1-2 a good part of the age but still managed to lose due to noobplay.

I think the 50% nw is a bit over the top. Eventually, perhaps. But once you chain all the big guys, the chaining gets harder and the NW drops become much less.

Note that its just flogger boasting here (probably a drunk rant) and I dont see nesta or mod doing it. (Unless i missed it)

I understand when you were posting about hostile (I'll admit I wasn't even watching that). The war seemed pretty clear cut though (here from the outside). I'm not trying to discourage your commentary here. I welcome reading your point of view because even if you are wrong (not even saying you are) there is so much to learn from it and I try to make an effort to learn from the crumbs of knowledge that are usually provided. I think it was way better than the nothing that these two were able to provide, I guess Nesta only provides his analysis when he's fighting no TD Human/Rogues.

Bb has all of its NW tied up in its remaining big provs but they were all hollow and going down one wave at a time and there wasn’t really anything they could do to stop the chaining and control the top. They didn’t really have any provs to Bank nw for them. There TMs were small and the DEs were breakable.

It’s just annoying that there are always some kind of excuses coming from Nesta or flogger when there is a loss. Flogger hasn’t lead and won any crowns in a pretty long time would be nice if he stopped talking so much crap and got relevant if he wants to talk.

That's what makes them wussies. Show up now when you've lost. I already knew it's gonna be on mod and astron to post for this one. Actually wanted to make a post about it mid-war but I guessed I've trolled them enough for one day :D (also they want to perm ban me!)

I really want Nesta to post, that guy is so cocky and talks so much but does absolutely nothing other than PKs himself. He always brags about #gametheory but he doesn’t ever display any good strategy

Its an age to age and scenario to scenario type of thing. But i'd say that warring BB is usually one of the highlights of any age, although its of course more fun if you crown after :P All in all with how this age worked out we consider ourselves happy with this war and how we played it. and last but not least, our stellar activity! Our kd is badass.

Only thing is that we should have cut the BS and initiated earlier, but that was a mix of us underestimating our setup a little bit, and overestimating their belief/want in winning and crowning.

Probably both KD's should not play for such a long CF in future ages? Get the war over by mid age, gives time to recover and come back for EoA fight if its feasible and people will possyfoot less? No idea what the diplo was, but I am guessing you all set Yr8 early?

We actually had no cf almost all age. We only put a cf in place y5 or so.

Background is we had a long oop war that we won by min time but the other kd did not WD so by time we got out all other kds had used pool. After that we had a lot of wars with other kds as they just kept coming so we never used pool and it was mid-age.

After one of our fights Bb tried to wave us for land as we had no cf but we AW/LLed all their gains back, didn’t retal, and pushed autocf button to get a week cf. After that their cf with Sleepy was coming up and we were warring WSK. We put in 48h cf with them sometime during that.

After WSK war ended we were pretty big without still using our pool...I think we’d be t3 at the time if we dumped it. We exited eow early was prepping for Sleepy fight (their duration cf was up pretty soon) but they gave us 48h notice (their notice with Sleepy would be 72h). Given we exited war early and used pool we wouldn’t be ready for a fight with a more prepared kd (they weren’t trying to fight just trying to force duration cf) but could setup BB to lose to Sleepy bad and burn all their prep/resources however that was a FSu type play rather than a war win / age winning play so we took their counter offer and gave them duration cf which ended almost a week after their war with Sleepy. In hindsight we could have tried to call this bluff but it would be more of a FSU play if they decided to fight us and give up their crown shot to war Sleepy. In the past they have done some grudgy things and things that didn’t make sense so it was credible on their part.
