I take that as that you wont agree on the point that there are real persons behind the account. If there arent, the discussions/conversations wont be meaningful.

But to go back to your original point. Namcalling.
I would say that it depends on what kind of namecalling. Calling someone ugly is really irrelevant. But calling someone stupid/noob/incompetent (concerning i.e. Utopia) isnt. Those are all characteristics that are related to your appearance on the web, a part of your personality, and thus no less meaningless that namecalling IRL.
