Can we stay on topic,

please?
Thank you and the respect is mutual. My explanation is a bit long, but tldr: because I was ordered to.
I play by a code that essentially prevents me from joining any competitive kingdoms.
1- I never attack unprovoked. I only retaliate unless prelude to or in war.
2- My journey is up. I retaliate the more powerful kingdom if given a choice by multiple.
3- Never retal vs the lifeblood of a kingdom, unless they were the offending province.
4- My preference is to play Utopia sans bots. The game is most challenging bot vs botless.
5- My preference is to play Utopia sans advanced chat. I like to socialize on irc, not the strategic leverage.
Pyro was recruiting and I was looking for a place to learn higher level mechanics. Since Pyro was in an age "off" I figured this was a time to polish the fuzzy math I use to function in Utopia. Though I played in Jerks last age, I knew there would be a difference between a Pyro age off and a Jerks age off.
Jerks let me choose my race, personality, and didn't mind if I sat out waves vs smaller non-warring opponents. Pyro offered me a choice, so I chose orc over dwarf. I felt dwarf should be reserved to those less familiar with grueling land defense warring.
In a couple of older threads this age I explained I'd be suspending part of my code to be compatable with the demands of competitive play. When we random I must be ordered to attack. I think my steward thinks I don't know how to random but it's purely a solution to a moral dilemma. ~ Historically I evolved from randoming to randoming provinces with 96 hour activity lulls to not randoming at all. Obviously I prefer cleric because I get hit "army home" all the time.
Obedience was the price of admission. While I'm not the most obedient player I strive to adhere to the ideals of leadership. There are many I consider friends in competitive kingdoms, but won't join them because of my code and technical limitations. I'm simply too slow to take part in lockstep strategy and enjoy playing a humble style. It's out of respect that I stay out of competitive kingdoms...unless they're in an age off.
I can only offer you my personal apologies. I must push the buttons so it is indeed my responsibility. You also know I must stand firmly with my kingdom, as mercenaries don't go far that disregard the hospitality of their host.
Take care.
You can only hold the leaders/ **** talkers responsible for this situation - Strat is neither of those things. You gotta trust and follow your leaders to be successful in this game, even though you may not agree with their decisions.
Stop whining. Get the war going.
I thgt FS wont reject any war?
why would they? They already won...b2b is lame unless both kingdoms know about it before hand.
Won? U mean in forum talk is it? LOL. Pryo should Just rape all FS TM to 500 acres...if they refuse to war. Then I will help you to clear up the garbage.
Keep bounce them also good. I sure many don't mind sharing their books. Too lazy to go library.
Francis already refuted the point about Nesta telling us there would be a b2b. The only thing that could be shaded that direction is when you guys were getting hot and bothered that we werent withdrawing, thinking it was due to wanting to take your science (lol) and out of some ill will, when really it was because we wanted to win the war.
I guess Nesta can come on here with the PM that says it, unless he is lying to his own kingdom.. that would be kind of funny.
PS - You cant say "You are forcing us to 50% you and dragging out the war" as means of saying "Now we won't CF you because you are just wanting to take our science" (as if T/M's that can be broken by your kingdom sending a few learns to land defense targets in the sum of maybe 300k books the whole war is somehow malicious) if you then go on to actually lose the war, because obviously we werent staying in the war maliciously, but to win the war.
The initial argument is voided because it was false in its inception. You weren't winning the war, you just talked on the forums like it was over. You can't just imagine you are winning and start breaking agreements before the war is over. Leaving 8 UB T/M's in the other kingdom isn't "winning the war with no chance for you guys to win" and if you did start throwing out these "alleged" threats of b2b and no CF's it would still be pretty lame especially given the fact that your initial reasons for doing those threats were null and voided by us turning the tides of the war and turning it into a win.
pyro complains about long war and wants to force a b2b? i guess my impression of pyro has been wrong all this while.
well seeing that FS is 66% of Pyro NW...it would be silly of them to war pyro. If pyro wants any shot at trying to take crown, they should pull out of trying to force a b2b and go after what will actually gain them land.
Like the Island of Midway. Switchy point battle.
@MasterShake - good point! ;)
Giving your enemy a huge land advantage has consequences. FS extracted a war win and paid those consequences. Now we can all move on to the next great drama.
Can Pyro just start dropping all of FS' provinces and be done with it? Raze them to 500 acres and they can war some ghettos.
Spartans jealous now that they are going to taste the furious flaming fury.
lol
