Utopia is as lacking an objective as Minecraft is. You decide what you want to accomplish and then you try to accomplish it.

I agree with you're statement insofar as dragging war. It's not that I don't believe in them, it's as you point out, it strains the player base. Strategically I can agree with FS and kingdoms that've been great in long wars. It'd be nice if we could break these wars down into regional segments to spare the uninitiated.
My comment regarding your logistical prowess is simply endorsing the natural phsyche most of us fall under. I myself am a mess logistically/ mathematically but aware strategically and artistically. I'm a hard case though. I've never had a sitter capable of running one of my provinces that I built. If it's design by committee then they seem to be able to manage.
Lets be real here people, they aren't even in dragon range for the past 4 days. When that happens in these forums there are calls for fake warring and farming out and whatever other filth we all enjoy here together. When two kingdoms fight and they aren't in dragon range, that's a ghetto stomp, or a gang bang, or an AWAR. No, no, what we have here is:

You're not as far ahead as you seem to insist - since land + buildings = 55 NW/acre, FS are actually ahead when it comes to useful networth. (This is a overly simplistic calculation, since most of the acres are likely to be barren, which is its own problem) It's quite clear that not much of the additional land is not being put towards additional peasants (or troops), or else your networth would otherwise be much further ahead.
On the other hand, at any point in time when FS tries to grow, they'll lose the op superiority that's obviously sustaining them right now, since the acre disadvantage is artificially doubling their WPA, TPA and BPA.
It's still Pyro's war to lose of course, but I think some proof that you can take it into the end-zone is warranted. I would've imagined that this is where your dwarves and elf need to prove their worth.
i saw faartstyle winning last time i checked, puked a little.
Next to get a dragon out should win I think.
Race is on.
In my next life, I wish to be Miley Cyrus middle finger.
Just seen screenshot, while FS is clearly low on acres, they have in no way lost yet, if all their T/Ms are UBs, can see 2 of them losing a bit of NWPA but all Pyros are looking pretty hurt.
The NW inflated by the acres, will be hard to change as Pyro seems to outhit, so its a question of who can keep the off going the longest. - Looks to be a great war.
Become number one in one of the designated charts and you have won that category. I didn't realise that you are this dumb and can't figure this one out.
That you imply would be similar to Minecraft is stupid. Minecraft has no set goals Utopia has. While you could do other things than competing to win the charts it's not the goal of Utopia. If it were there would never been any charts to begin with.
So no Utopia isnt lacking objectives it's just that people dont always agree with said objectives and make up own.
Is the aim of utopia to get the most land/nw? for about 3-4 kingdoms
Is the aim of utopia to get the most honor? for some kingdoms
Is the aim to get the most war win points? again, for some
The problem is lots of kingdoms set out the age to accomplish their own things. If my goal for the age is to finish in the top 10 on all the charts, and I do that, I've lost? If my goal for the age is to build a kingdom and establish a solid core of players to bring into next age and I do that, again, I've lost? If my goal for the age is to ensure that jdorje will not crown and he doesn't, then I've lost?
Yea, the game has rankings but rankings don't comprise of all achievable objectives that a kingdom might have. "We won the honor crown" is just yet another stand in for "We achieved what we wanted to achieve this age." and what you want to achieve could be any large number of things.
But people making up own objectives doesn't change the fact that there is a set objectives by the game and if you achieve em you win. Much different than minexraft
So I win if I'm #1 on my island? Because that's tracked too.
FS won, I knew Francis had this :D
Grats FS, I'm genuinely happy you guys won just to shut up the haters.
Yey :D Further proof they are the best warring KD in utopia.
For all those questions in Strategy Forum about war builds:
Barren Land........ 4,357....... 79.2%
Plan ahead ;-)
I feel bad for pyro, now every time a kingdom wars them they will drag it out expecting pyro to eventually surrender. Very nice war win fs again.
Aww. I was hoping for a 50% nw auto win...by FS! Another few weeks and FS could have shown Pyro how to do it! ;)
perhaps nesta forgot how to play to win the war at all costs and only knows how to play to aim at winning the age these days. Nice win FS, well done.

Let's see if that works.
bombdigie must have a fairly large slice of humble pie on his plate right now...
The pie's delicious tetley. Cheesecake delicious.
I know a real pimp who plays this game. So its hard for me to judge, 6 million science vs 3 million science, yeah it would have been nice to get 12 million science but its extremely hard to NOT turn acres into science. I've boasted our position every time, land is king in this game, that didn't suddenly change and I like the way Palem says it, Utopia is whatever you want to make of it. I had a lot of fun make all those jokes and you all had a lot of fun reading them too.
Till next AWAR, bombdigie.
I see a b2b incoming. FS tm turtling and opping and pyros 3 top orcs being useless. Dont have any intel though, just looking at kingdom pages
Honestly, was it pretty much as Feint said it would turn out, where Pyro having a relatively new roster were unable to maintain the intensity, whereas FS had always been playing the long game?
As Tadpole said in the news thread it's definitely a legit way to win, but long wars do tend to suck the life out of the players (or did to me when I played)
True about long wars for certain players. I've played in TFC and other grinding attacker type of kingdoms where long wars are a given. Outside of Utopia I've had 30 years of RPG marathon experience so I'm into it.
Having a comprehensive sitter program is certainly a benefit in some kingdoms and could benefit a number of casual/active player mixes.
Seems like Nesta need CJ badly. Pyro couldn't achieve anything without the DUOs.
Remember last time, Pyro was the best warring kingdom as well. Then they went on to win the Land crown too. Ever since, the 2 lovers break up, Pyro is not the same Pyro again. Furthermore with such a high turnover rate each age. I doubt they will achieve anything in near future.
