MOST kingdoms out there are not skilled/active enough to do good chains (a lot of them THINKS they do but they really dont). usually they either chain so poorly, or they waste too many hits on one province and let the rest of the kd outgrow. its much better to build no GS and instead keep more banks or TG
well, he did say that 10% was mandatory, so Im assuming its his kings orders. If you go 10, then you pretty much should bump it up to 20, since 10% is really useless.
nono i mean if u keep 10% homes and 65% draft or something like that, ur BE will go up by 5% or so due to less unfilled jobs
ive never actually done the calculation, but from experience it goes up by approximately 5%. the amount varies depending on ur pop sci, honor and wpa of course so its just a rough number
if you want, tell me why my strat i gave him fails so much either here or pm and ill counter your statements with reason why i suggested them.

thats why i put at the end dont know not sure how much food they require with the penalty they have. i can run 5% farms without even thinking about running out of food.

20% GS sounds appealing though it would be useless if they just chain me and so will be homes. this is really getting interesting.
what about my 15% TD 5 raw TPA and 80% crime? i usually use GA on non-a/t prov during war. is 10% TD enough? so i can put more % on rax.
the point of GS is not to stop a chain, because then, admittedly Forts would be the superior option, if denying a chain was your objective.
GS is to make chaining less effective since they will need to expend more hits to do the job against a province that lacks GS, then they have less resources to chain someone else. if they still want to chain someone else, then you din't get fully chained.
If you're going to get hit, GS is the better option to have over homes. If you won't get hit much, homes are the solid option. going 10% is being wishy washy and you need to pick a side, which is my point from earlier of why you go 20. Keep in mind your ratios will fade as you get incoming land, so really, 20% will be become 17% next wave, and prolly 14 after, and if things go really well, less than 10% in your post war CF which means that half your GS can transform into homes for recovery.

and, personally, i prefer the slightly higher TD's, retraining thieves is annoying, and you will never have an awesome offense as a gnome, it is either reasonable, or bad... never good =)
