First tactical misplay goes to Pulse, we'll see what happens from here

did we not prove to you that hostile acres meant nothing?
The bugged wave was not tactically much of an advantage; we were overpopping peasants at 7% rate until army returns regardless, at which point we would have been underpopped either way. its not like the extra was putting us on desertion overpops or that we can't deal with desertion overpops easily.
ya I'm sure EQ had a huge advantage over us when we topfed vultured them in whatever age that was. wow they sure did make life hard for us with all those large underpumped provinces. :SQuote:
No one would ever turn down an advantage in size
there are 18 million examples of smaller more pumped kingdoms farming the opposite.
With evenly matched kds on even pump time and identical setups? Doesn't matter anyway, we lost the war because you guys put yourselves in the best position to win and did what you needed to do to win, and we didn't. There is no denying reality, and that's you with a war win over us regardless of circumstances. I knew from day 1 when Mercy and Pulse were getting our respective kingdoms together that the age would be won by one of us, I'm just glad its turned out as it should and I get to war a kingdom I actually like (even though you have Godly) for something that matters.
In what way is pump time a meaningful factor when it is already established that one kingdom has out-pumped the other, it doesn't matter how long it took to do it.
The virtually identical set ups serve only to eliminate more variables, I don't know why you continue down this line of reasoning, its not logically sound.
...just you wait until I get to a keyboard :P
Are you gonna bark all day, little doggie, or are you gonna bite?
Not trying to sound too hard on you, but you must not have been paying attention or noticed our strategy in that hostile with you. Size isn't good in war unless you can make unbreakables, and dwarves don't make unbreakables. In our first fight with you we essentially donated you acres in hostile to reduce our size so we could win the war, by the time we declared we were topfeeding.
I think the first tactical misplay goes to Mercy. Whats the point of doing a 135% BE Homeswap and then sitting for 24 hours and letting both our BE's end identically. We both have more than enough GC to wait out the fortified tick. Press advantages when you have them, don't sacrifice advantages to save a few hundred acres on a few hits into fortified, and I'd rather have 1,000 peasants than 10,000 peasants by the time the fight came around, so homes for pop space makes little sense.
so it's stare contest?
Dont think they will war this age.
this probably the best war i have been in
So , pulse beat mercy ?
its a stall tactic. Sanctuary is actually going to war the war.
I'm not*.
99% of the fun is watching DHaran try and play "Damage control" on Mercy's first loss. It's not a big deal. You warred them, couldn't quite pull it out, you lost. Some times good kds lose wars too. Instead some vines-like logic is put in place to draw out every excuse imaginable to "justify" the loss or whatever. It's very amusing.
1% is lulz at abs.
*if curdie were in the kd, I would be a 100% GT58 fanboy
HoH was the best kd on the server last age. They won. That's the whole point of the game. They beat Rage and Sanctuary.
That would be admitting a loss. An absolute impossibility!
I'm not claiming GT58 is like in a different stratosphere of l337ness or something.
You lost a 1v1 war. You're behind in the charts despite very strong arguments that you have had a nearly identical age as GT58. Both measures of comparisons are totally valid.
If Mercy wins I'm happy to say that Mercy is the better kd, but the burden is most definitely on Mercy to prove they aren't the worse kd.
False on all accounts.
I don't "hate" abs, though I do certainly enjoy watching their failures. Likewise, I have absolutely no problem with Rage, Mercy, and 96% of Sanctuary.
TFC never tried to crown.
Not why I don't like jdorje. You can keep guessing though. One of these days you guys might actually get it right :D
I'm sorry if you can't understand that alliances are a strategy and that there are downsides to them.
HoH benefited, Rage and Sanctuary lost out.
Or would you rather just completely ignore strategy and results and rather just claim whichever kd you like best as the winner?
DHaran has never been in a crowning kingdom. Forgive him for not knowing how it works.
...I....erm....:(
lol
And apparently you want to declare a kingdom who benefited from a 100k acre intentional farmout as the "best", lol. And I suppose you'll claim that TFC is the 6th best kingdom in Utopia right? You have about the worst thought process I've encountered recently, lol. And you want to say I have vines-logic, comical. I also like how you are dodging my questions. I asked if you believe a better kingdom has never lost a war in the history of Utopia, I await your response.
Don't need a crown to know who the best kingdoms are. Unless you want to also say HoH was the best kingdom on the server last age, I'd love to hear you say that.
That's weird, I'm pretty sure putting yourself in the right place at the right time and farming out bad kds is the EXACT thing that good kds try to do. You farmed out a bad kd earlier this age. If you win your crown is it forfeited because of that? If Rage wasn't allied with HoH, they could have famed those acres back out of HoH, but their strategy of allying themselves with HoH backfired on them and they lost what was otherwise pretty secure crown.
And no, sometimes the better kd loses. But the better kd comes back. The "best" kd has never finished an age 0/2 and 5th place.
yes the best kingdom on the server is the one who gets the crown, because one way or the other they outplayed the rest of their competition. HoH unlike absalom has dealt best with simians situation and they gained as was to be expected (since simians clearly stated they would farm to HoH if absalom did certain things to them).
Spain's Olympic team would have won gold if USA wouldn't have scored so many points, so they're clearly the best.
DHaran and TheRock are the John Stockton and Karl Malone of utopia (except without any of the talent). To still be a complete crown virgin after 54 rounds of utopia is embarrassing enough. To act as if you're actually a good player on top of it is just laughable. DHaran needs to realize this and shut his mouth until he actually wins at something in utopia. We're all waiting.
Theres no need for this. Unless this thread cleans up fast I'm locking it and handing out bans.
I think a simple ban of Godly should do the trick
Right, the structure of that competition is what makes the argument ridiculous lol
